Everyone who'll be tempted to make broad conclusions after today's game needs to read this post. The Giants defended the Saints with zone coverage most of the game, because they didn't have enough healthy bodies to play man. And against New Orleans' 3 and 4 receiver sets, that's just asking for trouble. I stated beforehand that the only way the Giants could make it a game was if their pass rush put up a dominating performance. Well they didn't. Brees had all day, and he just waited for his receivers to enter the seams in the Giants' zone coverage. The Giants are definitely still a contender though. And I they'll be their strongest towards the end of the season when it counts. I can't wait 'till that D gets healthy.
That said, that game was fucking brutal. I don't mind the loss against the Saints too much because its early in the season. I just wish we could've prevented Shockey from getting a TD. Goddamn douchebag... Also huevonkiller, if you're wondering why I still think Bradshaw shouldn't be starting, check out that Eli Manning interception. Bradshaw missed the block on a blitzing safety and it forced Eli to throw the ball too early (he still should've thrown it out of bounds, but that doesn't excuse Ahmad's mistake). There are lot of nuances like that, that Bradshaw still needs to pick up before he can be a feature back in this league. I'm confident he'll learn them over time with experience. Give him 1-2 season and I think he'll clearly be a better back than Jacobs.
Yeah, I actually saw that. I just think the touches need to be distributed like they are now, instead of the 70-30 ratio you mentioned before.
I can agree with that. Jacobs has really struggled so far this season. And he hasn't handled it very well either.
Bah, he's still young enough to play out of that slump. I just think the dual RB thing is really working for you obviously.
If our fantasy league had regular qb scoring, I would be on top. I really need Marshall to get a couple tds tonight. should be easy against the pathetic san diego d.
