Great D from both sides. Both teams were in the position to score TD's because of starting field position and the D's made great stands. EDIT: Stupid, stupid penatly...
Hey Legacy, at least your team is not as messed up as Cleveland. I wonder why they still start Derek...
If they play Brady Quinn a certain amount of games this year, they'll have to pay him a significant bonus.
Pretty cheap of them. His bonus is like 11 million over two years, and since he put his home up for sale that complicates things even more. I wouldn't want to live there either. :O
It's a pretty classless act by the organization. I wouldn't expect any less from a Mangini-coached team.
Chut, I noticed most of NYG's games will be at home for the next month or so. I think that will help you out.
I'm definitely not giving up on this season. We should be getting Aaron Ross and Chris Canty back soon, which will help so much (getting some actual pressure up the middle, being able to play man coverage). But there are some larger issues with this team that need to be addressed eventually for this team to have long-term success. The more I think about it, the more I realize that the Giants have actually been preparing for a rebuild ever since the Super Bowl win. I don't think it'll be a rebuild that prevents them from contending for a playoff spot or even a championship. But if you look at the significant pieces from that SB-winning team, most of them have either been replaced or are very close to being replaced in the next few years. I'd say Eli and the O-line are the only areas that don't have young replacements lying in wait. Just take a look at it: WR: Plaxico Burress / Amani Toomer / David Tyree => Steve Smith / Mario Manningham / Hakeem Nicks / Domenik Hixon TE: Jeremy Shockey => Kevin Boss RB: Brandon Jacobs => Ahmad Bradshaw DE: Michael Strahan / Osi Umenyiora => Justin Tuck / Matthias Kiwanuka DT: Barry Cofield / Fred Robbins => Jay Alford / Chris Canty LB: Antonio Pierce / Danny Clark / Michael Boley => Jonathon Goff / Brian Kehl / Clint Sintim S: Gibril Wilson / James Butler => Kenny Phillips / Michael Johnson If you look at which players who're still on the roster are on that list, you can figure out which moves will need to be made soon.
Your team hasn't even peaked yet. When you get your chemistry set With Smith/Nicks/Manningham (although injured today), I expect the rest of your offense to feed off that. How do you see your run D though? Still ok? Overall I consider NYG quite a serious threat.
