    Crosby misses the field goal.

Packers trying to come back from a 24-3 margin like the Saints.

That was disappointing. Wish we beat Favre. These losses against the Vikings hurt a hell of a lot more. Theres one bad thing about being a passionate fan, divisional losses suck.

No need to feel bad, man. If the same were happening to the Eagles, I'd be gloating like a total douche.

The NFC East clearly isn't the force it's been in years past, but its still a pretty tough 3-team division. And the Eagles are definitely the class of it right now. I would kill if the Giants had LB's like the Eagles' (and their best one is out for the year).

I don't know how long the Giants can hold onto that injuries, excuse....you have to learn to adapt to that and make changes. That game was just a total beat down from start to finish. Eli got pwned!!!

Now, the Giants will rebound and stomp the Chargers next week. Mark my words.

The Eagles are a top 3 team in the NFC if you ask me.

    Saints
    Vikings
    Eagles
    Cardinals
    Giants
    Cowboys

Problems unrelated to our injury problems:

    - Underperforming D-linemen (Umenyiora, Robbins, Bernard)
    - Antonio Pierce's coverage ability
    - Offensive play-calling
    - Inconsistent run-blocking
    - Receiver miscues (drops, imprecise routes)
    - Eli's poor decisions when the team's behind by double-digits

I didn't blame injuries during the Arizona game. We just didn't execute or have a coherent gameplan. But during the two blowouts against New Orleans and Philadelphia the game got out of hand really early because of our hobbled secondary. Brees and McNabb just went buckwild on us. I don't know if you saw that Desean Jackson TD, but it was arguably the worst pass coverage any team has shown the entire season. That doesn't happen if we can play him man-to-man and we don't have C.C. Brown playing in concrete cleats.

lol. I'll say this. This Giants D is nothing like it was intended to be. Because they can't cover people in man situations, they can't afford to blitz (it's just too easy for the QB). The most they can really do is throw Antonio Pierce at the QB because he can't cover worth shit anyways (he's easy to block though). I'm not used to seeing a non-blitzing defense.

The injuries have really beat down the Giants, just look at their lineup. The defense they fielded today was a joke, either that or McNabb is some type of superhero...

I'm really hoping this team doesn't get too overconfident like we were against Oakland. I KNOW we can beat Dallas, beating Washington, NY, and Dallas all in a row will be sweet as hell.

Also, that TD Maclin caught was sick. He beat out one of the best CB's in the league, Corey Webster. I'm really liking the Jackson-Maclin duo.

Yeah, you're WR duo is going to be sick for years to come. Hopefully for you guys, McNabb can keep playing like this for the next few years.

If the Giants' can't afford to blitz, Philip Rivers is going to eat them alive next week.

Most likely. They try to blitz but its so easy to pick apart these days. It'll be interesting to see if the D does anything after being thoroughly embarassed the last few weeks. The last time they were this terrible was 2 years ago when they went on to a 6 game win streak and eventually won the Super Bowl (there's no way I'm saying that'll happen).

My cousin thinks Eli's heel injury is still bugging him. He points to so many of his throws hanging in the air and going high, and says its because his throws are all from his arm and he isn't planting his foot (probably because it hurts him too much to do so). Gotta say, that theory's got some merit. I'll have to look for it next week.

Yeah, that injury Eli sustained can hurt him for the rest of the year. Planter fasciitis is no joke, it is extremely painful. I remember in my sports med. class back in HS we spent a whole day talking about how painful it could be.
