I didn't read that as his saying Maynor was as good as Westbrook. At that time Westbrook was widely criticized for taking the ball out of Durant's hands. If Maynor just facilitated for the other players on the floor it's conceivable the team did just fine with him feeding Durant and others while Westbrook rested. I don't know though -- I didn't watch their games and wouldn't make either claim. :)

I love that even back in June of '11 Zags and PapaG were already fighting! Would love to go back and see what post started it all!

It's an age old fight, one that might predate my on-again-off-again war with Mr. G

Stotts can finally give Dame some rest now. I bet Lillard's efficiency is gonna improve.

Yep. And this is the real and best reason to have made this trade.

At least Maynor has the knee excuse, Nolan on the other hand ...

I'm not trying to imply that Nolan is a better NBA player overall. I am just saying adding Maynor right now shouldn't be the deciding factor in giving Dame a rest because he hasn't been any better than Nolan this season

Since Maynor just got out of his knee brace a few weeks ago his production the rest of the season would be expected to increase from his production back in Nov-Dec. Nolan on the other hand....

Fair enough. On the plus side, there's almost no chance that Maynor significantly alters our short-term tanking prospects. Full steam ahead!

Eric Maynor is the perfect player for Nolan Smith to model his game after IMO, very similar attributes.
