Welcome to Bemo is more like it.

There's one place to play footie in the MLS and it ain't in the states (even if the team blows).

    Go REDS!

Right just to clarify again, up in england (north) we call the whole football kit, a football strip or kit either way, and I suppose just the top can be called jersy.

My apologies. I was venting my general frustration with the Euro/English snobbery that tends to happen in the States. If you appreciate the look of DC United's shirt, that's great, but liking it because its the most European bothers me.

I believe that D.C. have the best fan base with the Screaming Eagles, Barra Brava, and La Norte.

Re: Welcome to the United States!

My local team is the NY Red Bulls, but I have a serious problem with them. They have never played one game in New York, yet they edited the state where they have played every home game out of the name of the franchise. (more)

Re: Welcome to the United States!

Next year they are finally supposed to play in their new stadium in Harrison, which is in suburban NJ and has even less to do with New York. It will be interesting to see if Red Bull's stance changes when they move.

NY really should get it's own team ... but not before Vancity or Montreal.

What do you think about the Giants? No one relates them to Jersey

Re: Welcome to the United States!

The problem is that Red Bull wants the New York team. Maybe they can move to Yankee Stadium and the team in Harrison can be called the Cosmos. That would rule.

And the Cosmos set US soccer back about thirty years. They're the entire reason why the NASL folded and why the MLS has some of ridiculous roster restrictions that they have.
