The spacing also creates lanes for Dame and C.J. to drive to the basket and Harkless to slash to the rim for passes from the high post. Even if Collins doesn't shoot a lot of 3-pointers, the fact that he's a threat to do so creates that kind of spacing. You just can't leave a guy like that wide open at the 3-point line and that stretches a defense.

I think he really needs to work on his pump fake before every shot even if there is no defender within 10 feet.

He also needs to bulk up considerably if he wants to be a good mouthpiece target

Like most everyone I see Collins as a modern PF. I hope Vonleh, Collins and Swanigan push Meyers back to playing center, where he belongs. And I hope Meyers is fully recovered from his shoulder surgery and he gets into the weight room and gets some strength back so he can get used to muscling down low again.

Yeah, it takes some serious discipline to pump fake everytime, even when nobody is around.
Maybe he won't be mature enough to do so right out of the gate but i'm confidant he will put the time in it and improve

and what about the two herniated discs (L4 and L5) and the hip damage that was reported at the end of last season? I have heard nothing about hows he's doing or what was done to correct those significant issues

It's insane that the Meyers ship hasn't sunk for everybody yet.
    Kind of admirable actually.

It's punchable for sure. Hopefully he pisses opponents off instead of his fan base

Has that guy signed with anyone's summer league team yet? I wouldn't mind bringing him in just to see a huge Polish guy beat up on some guards.

It really started when he started reading S2 and we called him Beibs....when the greatest fans in sports heckle you everyday and you're lacking confidence....it's all downhill from there

Karnowski probably knows he can get paid in Europe and play....he probably won't cut it with an NBA roster

I remember when the fans booed him in a game late in the season, after he clunk like three 3s in a short span.
I think I had never heard blazers fan boo one of our players before... I was like man, Butter really done fucked up ! (granted I havn't been watching the blazers, or the nba for that matter, for a really long time)

I'm saying I hope Stotts plays Vonleh, Collins and Swanigan at PF ahead of Meyers. That's 2 rookies and Vonleh, who's wasn't exactly starter quality last year. I'm saying Meyers should be a backup center whether he's the first, second or third off the bench. I'm acknowledging the impact his shoulder surgery appeared to have on him last season, mentally and physically. And yes, I hope he plays better.

Meyers will skip his prime and achieve what his mentor did only at a young age....Chris Kaman's last role on the bench is now his!

We once drafted a front court player from Nevada. Four letters in his first name, seven letters in his last name.

That didn't work out so well for Portland.
