The skill-set is valuable even if another player did not pan out. It is a game of statistics - if they hit it with ZC - that gives them 50% success rate for such a unicorn - which is an amazing achievement.

The point is - just because it did not work before - does not mean that you stop looking for it.

He said that's what he heard. I don't think that was his own comp, because I don't think he's that stupid.

Vucevic is strictly a center who can barely defend his position. Has at least 30 pounds on Collins. Can't move laterally. Doesn't shoot threes. Fairly skilled in the post, can knock down a mid range jumper, is a good rebounder, and that's pretty much it. Collins is built like a young Aldridge and is much more agile and explosive, with a wider skill set, and projects to be a much better defender.

I honestly know nothing about this kid but I've heard mixed reviews. I'll let his play speak for itself

non of us know how he'll look against NBA caliber 5s....see how his rookie season pans out...I watched about half a dozen Gonzaga games but 7ft guys who can shoot own college ball usually..he's got a great motor and can guard 3 positions on the court....great lateral speed and good handles...needs to bulk up his lower core strength or he'll get tossed around like a smelly fish

    100% confidence.

My favorite quote "I never wanted to be a guy that faded away from the basket once he realized he could shoot."

Shit, sounds like he's gonna be fun to watch. Needing to bulk up is a minor thing too, thats the case with lots of bigs. As long as he works as hard as I'm hearing he works, he should be a good fit!

Any chance he turns into our Harry Barnes while Swanigan becomes our Draymond?

Considering Barnes is a small forward and Collins is a power forward/center, no. I am hoping he is our Porzingis while Swanigan is our Millsap.

Or both just become Myles Turners. Myles Turner is where the magic is.

Not fully true, we also threw in our #15 pick into the mix. Without Nurkic we'd have probably been #10 ourselves as I don't think that team was making playoffs. Still, Nurkic is miles better for our team than Mason was.

We don't get Collins without the Denver pick. The rest is just theoretical.

Yep, probably, but we still had to add our pick so in principle it's Plumlee plus Jackson (or whoever we were going to grab at 15) for Nurkic and Collins.

Watching Collins hook shot that is really unstoppable just where he release the ball he get full extension on his release. Most player does a jump hook without full extension.
