Re: Vonleh. Been saying all summer that Neil won't pay him next summer especially with Swanigan and Collins and Nurkic around. He became trade bait the minute Swanigan was drafted

I don't think the rookie will outplay Noah. He's battled in the league a couple years and knows his place. Played great next to Nurk, I think it will continue this season.

That video was one of his best games. He showed the ability to do a Euro step, consistently rebound, and hit the 3.

You carry a picture of me around with you in your wallet???

I actually hope you are right, but NO was pretty clear on how much better he is already.

He may be a cap casualty. Depends on what his other offers are. I'd keep him over Ed Davis and Aminu though.

He played well next to Nurk doing the things that Swanigan is already better at. The only downgrade might be defensively but I think Swanigan will be good enough there to not be a liability. Think Gasol/Zbo.

You realize Neil is going to come after you now, right? I doubt he wanted this information out lol.

I don't think Caleb was on Zbo's level from a defensive instincts / awareness / quick twitch standpoint at the same age.

I think it's more likely that Collins becomes that starter alongside Nurkic down the road, since projects to be much more likely to provide positive value even if he's only a support piece offensively which fits better with the starting unit.

But I also think both Zach and Caleb are best suited at both ends as 5's, which is why I struggle with envisioning both being significant parts of a future front court rotation alongside Nurkic. But that's definitely looking too far down the road and if both are good enough where paying Collins vs. Swanigan after their rookie deals becomes a worthwhile debate, we're probably in a pretty good spot.

To me Neil shouldn't being putting shit like this out. I hope both players are successful but it good time for Vonleh to make Neil eat his words.

I agree about Collins next to Nurkic. Don't really agree that he's a 5 long term. I see him as a four. I think he can develop into a lamarcus type player. If you look at lamarcus when he was a rookie he was built similar to Collins and was comparable athletically as well. I just don't see Collins ever bulking up enough to handle all the good centers that dominate the NBA today. I do agree about Swanigan as a 5 long term though.

    Swanigan is a 4. Collins is a 4/5.

There wasnt that many people there and it was private. No media.
I think he knows his persona and individually, whether is genuine or not, knows he needs to do what he can to make himself come off as straight forward. Thats hard to do without divulging knowledge.

No no, I'm pretty positive Stren had it right. 1.0 year old.
