    Kobe went to playoffs his rookie year. I don’t know about 40 years. Actually, the Magic improved greatly in Shaq’s rookie year despite missing the playoffs. We improved greatly with Roy in fact. There are others. I’ll have to think about it. Derrick Rose? Amare Stoudemire maybe? David Robinson for sure. I think they improved by 30 wins.
