I’d settle for having Nurk and Collins and giving Giles only spot minutes. He works hard and has some talent, but he’s too small to play the 5 spot and doesn’t have the consistent outside shot for the 4.

This is why Lillard recently called out those that read the box score without watching the game. Even taking last year's production of Gabriel, there is no way I would rather have that over what Giles has brought this year. Giles is the better player now and has more potential. Give NO credit.
Why give Olshey credit for doing the obvious, replacing a wannabe undrafted journeyman with no experience, with a journeyman drafted #20 with 2 years experience. Gabriel always seemed like a good guy, but he's a great reminder of why you shouldn't over-value potential in a young player. I think it's awesome he's stuck around in the league this long!
I'd have to dig back into the 2019-20 game threads and the 2020 off-season threads, but my (at times faulty) memory recalls people thinking this guy was worthy of minutes and had real upside.
