Also. You said my opinion was silly but I can’t say get the fuck out of here???? Lmao. Well I apologize for not knowing where your line is I shouldn’t cross when you initiate a conversation with me claiming my post is silly. Lol. If you can’t take the heat, stay out of the kitchen my friend.
And I do not understand your hate. I respect your views, but your hate makes you, and your views, look very weak.
Almost as understandable as suggesting we trade CJ to get closer to a championship but not suggesting what said trade entails.
ok, let me explain to you again: team failed miserably, getting swept. Neil basically attacks fans at exit interview saying we should be greatful. No flexibility because he overpaid scrubs. He refuses to trade CJ which is the only asset with value to change team. I expect effort as a fan, not just accept it because it is what it is. There was no accountability after sweep... coach, GM kept jobs... CJ still here... gets rid of Ed instead... what more do you need
So far you might have the best moniker I’ve seen to represent the poster. Disclaimer: this is a light hearted joke for those with a sense of humor. Someone with a moniker calling themself a grouch I would hope has such a humor bone.
We can only pretty much build through the draft. We need to value our draft picks way more than other teams. We also have a clock on our draft picks because they can leave in free agency after their rookie contracts. We have a very small window to be good but if we ever manage to win a championship again it will mean way more than that of other teams who have mvps show up at their doorstep.
Sorry, Orion, but I have to disagree with you. NBA general managers get paid a lot of money to do nothing except think about basketball. It’s their job to make the team better, not ours. We don’t talk to other GMs on a daily basis, and we don’t know the intricacies of the salary cap, etc. All that stuff is on them. Most of the trades the Blazers have made in their history have taken me by surprise, simply because I didn’t know such-and-such a player was available, or that his team had to let go off him for financial reasons, etc., etc. It’s not the job of the average fan to come up with a great trade, a great draft, or a great free-agent signing. That’s the GM’s job.
But, then we don't have enough information to evaluate his performance either. However, that hasn't stopped people from doing just that.
I used to have a sense of humor. Of course, back in the old days you and I always got along. OTOH, many of the people who told me I was no longer welcome here were folks I thought I got along with - so I am a poor judge.
Everybody said that last year. Every team's getting better, our division is murder, etc, and we ended up with 3 seed.
