The Hornets didn't fare out too bad by landing Julian Wright; he doesn't fill their need on the perimeter but one day he might be able to play outside more and he is an incredible athlete that gives Scott the defense he wants. On the other hand, things went sour in the second round when the Blazers took Derrick Byars one pick ahead of us just to trade to the Sixers...so we ended up with Adam Haluska. You see, the Hornets have a history of picking up shooters like him- and then letting him go. I'll bet that this guy will either never play for us or will be riding the bench; we saw it with Arvydas Macijauskas at the guard and Kirk Haston if you want to talk about shooting forwards. They never played good defense. Haluska will not be a good defender in the NBA; he has slow feet and won't be able to keep up with NBA 2-guards. His jumpshot is pretty, but Scott won't play this guy unless he improves his defense. That becomes a problem because we need 2-guard depth. But, who knows how things will pan out...

I was furious during the draft when we picked Yi Jianlian (Because he doesn't fit our needs, not to mention all the nonsense that comes with him) and I'm still pissed about it.
