Before I had read your post, I had already noted Matthews' statement as ridiculous and comical, and copied and pasted it for future use in my signature. Then I read your post. You are so right.
Agree with BBert. Wesley doesn't sound like a loser, he sounds like a winner, "dis me if you dare". I mean, the A's were supposed to be in the cellar and they said Uh Huh and as of now are a playoff team. While the loaded talented big market big money Angels aren't.
