I don't think they "have to"...but...I don't have enough information to answer the question. I need more facts.

I'm confused by so many saying Afflalo = Wes. Frankly, I don't see the similarity.

Aside from that, Wes (Healthy) > Arron. Period. Arron wasn't brought here to replace Wes, but to come off the bench and to compliment him.

We won't know which to feature until we know how Wes is doing in February. So, just as we did when we traded for Arron, we need both. It will be up to the coaches during the season to decide who starts and who comes off the bench.

The Blazers are going to let each poster from S2 pick a scapegoat to get rid of.

After an hour, we'll be left with HCP as our starting PF, Sly will be our SF, I'll be the shooting guard, Wookie will be our Center, and Lanny will play PG.

Careful what you wish for, Blazers fans.

That is a valid point . As we see in these playoffs the 6-7 clip is missing. (along with other defeciencies) Keeping both and dumping Blake & Crabbe to free payroll space.

Neither honestly. This team needs a SG that can slash. I'm sick of seeing dudes jack up jumpers and not get to the FT line at the SG spot.

CJ has an opportunity to be a special player. I could actually see him start next season for the Blazers.

We have that in CJ, 6th men are usually slashers anyway now. The starting SG should usually be a 3andD guy in today's nba unless you have an elite talent at the position.

There's absolutely no way to know how Wes will be when he comes back. History is not kind to the injury. Afflalo has had a rush job integrating with Stotts and his team so I with hold judgement until he's had a training camp and some chemistry with the roster. He's a guy that can play at a high level. Shoulder is gimpy so last game was not a good example of what he can bring

Pretty much. People keep saying "meh trade" but that trade was AWESOME. It got us a legit 6th man off the bench. However, we only got to see it for a handful of games. That trade was to bolster the bench, and it seems people forgot that.

That's a pipe dream. Let's get real in here and put the favoritism to rest. CJ will be a 6th man and it will either be Mathews or Afflalo.

If you have been watching Afflallo in Denver, you would know exactly what to expect. His play as a Blazer has been exactly what he showed as a Nugget... He's a starter on a bad team & a bench player on a good team - but not someone to "put you over the top"

Unless your starting unit is top five in the league and all you need to do is bolster your bench.

Well it's obvious that is not the case for the Blazers, now isn't it?

They were a top 5 starting unit midseason.

A CJ/Dame backcourt would be very small and probably get seriously abused on D, I don't think so, he's a 6th man here or needs to be paired with a tall PG than can defend SG's

CJ actually plays much bigger than his height. Heras really long arms and really coordinated to boot. I think more playing time will give him more confidence. He's a pretty good talent.
