Very true. I would still like him to move on from that type of motivation. It leads to being streaky and inconsistency if you are motivated in that way.
I think the poor shooting right now is because Dame is still coming to terms with what it means to be THE GUY. He is putting it all on his shoulders when the team needs points, which leads to him taking shots that he probably shouldn't be taking. If we had another star-type player, I think that would alleviate some of that pressure. In the past he could give it to LA or Nic and it wasn't on him to create or score. He wasn't getting doubled like he is now. We're not even a quarter of the way through the season. I think he'll figure it out.
If Russell Westbrook wouldn't have gotten hurt he would have been voted in ahead of Damian that year. I think Damian made it last year because two other players got hurt. He'll probably have his best season statistically this year and won't make it.
I'm sure the people of China will vote Kobe in. Anyway, Dwight Jaynes was on Talkin'Ball last night and said that the players in the league still treat Kobe like the Kobe of old so if that's true I'm not so sure everyone is turning on him.
I don't see lillard not making it. Curry, lillard, Westbrook, Cp3, harden imo are definitely on the team. Even if Kobe is voted In I still see lillard making it. Davis, gasol, green, Leonard, cousins, Durant, griffin. It gets tough and that's 13 with Kobe, so either Kobe won't get voted (I think harden and curry are voted in) or one of the others are left off. Lillards gonna make it
I don't think he will. The team sucks and there's too many exceptional guards. I bet the guards are Curry/Russ/CP3/Harden/Klay.
You forget how much the coaches reward winning. If Golden State keeps this up, and is putting up a Bulls-level domination, I could EASILY see them getting 3 All-Stars. The fucking Hawks had 4 All-Stars last year. FOUR! Just stupid... Klay's numbers aren't great right now, but I could see them improving before the selections.
Here is an example Ray Allen was an All-Star in 2010-2011. Boston had FOUR All-Stars that year. He was averaging 16.5 ppg, 2.7 assists, 3.4 rebounds.
Eh, I'm not saying it's impossible. I'm just not getting my hopes up. I'll be surprised if he makes it.
That didn't work last year. Conley has never been voted by anyone. Just another example of your lack of knowledge of the NBA. Dame was voted in two seasons ago by the coaches and he deserved it. Last year, he got on because Anthony Davis was hurt. Dame is 6th in the league in scoring and 7th in assists. Paul's stats are down. Bledsoe's stats are up but Lillard still averages more assists and points. As for team record, all but 3 teams in the West are playing mediocre basketball. We win 2 games in a row and we're suddenly a fringe playoff team. Right now, we're only 3 losses behind the 4 seed.
Your crazy if you think Kobe won't get voted in. I remember a few years back when TMac was injured and didn't play a game and still got voted in.
