They won't. This is a treadmill team. If ownership had any balls CJ would be gone this summer. We are Raptors west. They at least realized that and split up DeMar and Lowry and then went and got Gasol

Dame is eligible for a 6 year 277 million dollar extension at 29 years old next summer. Do you guys realize what kind of hole that will put us in financially?

Without Nurkic we we're not beating this dynasty.

Warriors under Mark Jackson finally made the playoffs after many years of finishing no better than third. Then in two consecutive years winning 47 and 51 games respectively and getting beat in the playoffs in round 2 and then round 1, the warriors. Management decided they did not see jackson getting them to the next level. Went with Kerr and, well you guys know the rest. Just saying....

Only to continue to get daddy dicked by Eastern Conference teams.
First was LBJ. Now it's Freak.

They're certainly in a better position than Portland when they lose Leonard and have to pay Lowry 33 mil next year.
Shits nearly as untradeable as Wall's contract.

Probably, but they should of at least won one of the games they were up 17+... Thats a problem beyond Nurk, especially when ML played well.

I agree they should've but I look at it like this.

Portland might be a seasoned team at the core players.
But GSW reminds me of the old Spurs teams. Those Spurs teams closed quarters hard, and it was always talked about just getting a big lead was the easy part. Maintaining it was the hard part.
GSW is quite similar to those Spurs teams in that way.

Until Portland learns to close quarters. They're never going to beat a team like GSW.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters GSW went on big runs to close the quarter to keep it close.
If Portland stops that this is a blowout in favor of Portland.
    Hell g2 & 3 also.

Yep. The missing players are not nearly as significant as the missing finals level coach.

I know most don’t like van Grundy for a coach but he was really speaking truths and calling this game like a coach. I heard about 4 or 5 things that just made sense and thought what if or someone else was coaching maybe we could have scored more then 11 points in 13 minutes.

well, they made it to the WC finals. Unfortunately, they kind of embarrassed themselves when they got there. Three straight seasons ending with a sweep...ouch!

    * 58 minutes resulting in 9 points from Aminu, Mo, and ET. Fortunately, they were only paid 36M this season...yeah, that's sarcasm. Portland has to make substantial changes with that 3 man rotation next season and I'm not just talking about letting Aminu walk. I think stretching Turner is a bad idea but that bad idea is a better idea than the idea of bringing Turner back for a 4th season. 3 seasons was 3 too long

    * Dame and CJ played relatively well this game,in the same game, for a change, although CJ morphed into MeJ at a critical time. But it wasn't enough. The Warriors were missing Durant and Iggy; they knew they had the series in the bag, but they just played better...because they are better

    * reportedly, PA was wanting to tear some things apart after the playoffs last season. I hope some changes are made this summer. I'm not a big anti-stotts guy, but it's definitely time for a change in coaches in my view. And I'd like the guy that fires him to be the new GM

    * I guess now it's ok to talk about the off-season. And it's finally the point where I can stop watching BB and get on with the summer. That means blasting Round-Up all over my property; wondering where I left my shears; burning chicken on the BBQ; slugging vodka-7's down out on my deck; and going camping in Eastern Oregon dreaming about being a cowboy in the 1880's. I'd be a better shot with my six-gun than the Blazers were in OT tonight; I'd treat my horse right too

Agreed we should have won one (17 may as well be 7 to them) but we had little to no chance in this series with our injuries and the NBA refs ensuring a Dubs dynasty before KD heads east.

c'mon...there are no moral victories in the WC finals; especially not when you get swept. I don't care if they lost 4 games by a combined 3 points. I care that they won 0 games by 0 points

Dame in the postgame presser talking about Green:

"He keeps them engaged the entire game."

"We did that while we were winning the game, but when things didn't go our way, we stopped."

Dame understood what happened. We need a Draymond Green. He doesn't have to be as good as Green, he just needs to have that intensity that keeps everyone engaged all the time.

Man, I'd kill for Montrezl Harrel.
