"Florida Marlins starter Ricky Nolasco proved to be regular-season ready with six shutout innings against the Cardinals on Monday at Roger Dean Stadium.

Nolasco helped make one big inning by the Marlins against Cardinals starter Jake Westbrook stand in a 4-1 victory.

Florida is 6-1 against the Cardinals this spring.

The Marlins are 8-13-1 against the rest of the Grapefruit League.

The two teams, who share the RDS complex each spring, will conclude the Fins and Feathers Series on Tuesday afternoon. The Cardinals originally were going to field a Triple-A heavy roster for that game. But with the cancellation of the exhibition in Springfield, the Cardinals will run out major leaguers, including starter Jaime Garcia, for the spring finale at RDS.

Westbrook allowed 11 hits in 4 1/3 innings of work. Five of those hits came in the Marlins' four-run third inning and all of the hits and runs in that inning came with two outs."
