Sports2 is imbalanced. The Portland people so outnumber other boards that they can, without trying, hijack other boards, make the natives feel frustrated, who then hijack the Portland board in revenge. I, too, feel frustrated when I argue with the ever-serious Boob.
Ok now that everything has cooled down, let me clarify politely. Public figures (or non-members in other words) are fair game according to S2 policy, you can say whatever you want about your team, coaches, politicians, or the neighbors on your block. I thought he became a public figure once he got banned, he isn't so that is my bad. It is that simple. Now we can move on, hopefully.

First he's not a poster, the site is run by Shapecity/DennyCrane/etc. They have final say on everything. You could go after some anonymous poster on another board, because he's not a member here.

With LOTR and Star Wars both going so mainstream these days, us geeks don't have to hide it anymore. I mean those geeks. I never played D&D. I don't even know the difference between a Gauth and and Elder Orb, you know, other than that Gauth are Beholder-kin and not of the traditional Beholder Abberation. Or something. You know, just common knowledge.
