Now look at the entire year with Nicolas Batum? This guy tried to play all year through injury and never got going again.
AA is actually more correct but the idea behind AAA was like the old standard. Saving the day type thing the AAA (the company) is known for. The problem is most people now days just make it out to be only old People need AAA and really most insurances now have road side assistance. Pretty funny actually. Maybe he should get on with the Spurs????
Love how CJ startled Joerger by coming over and talking to him during the game. It's assumed he apologized for what happened to Conley, and it looks he made quite the impression on him overall. CJ is the man, can wait until he becomes even more reliable.
There's clearly a double reason why I did the neener face at the end. And that's what that is from now on, the neener face!
If Afflalo had been good for us AT ALL this season, then I would think differently. As it is, he's a poor fit, and we can certainly use that money better elsewhere. Even if Wes didn't come back, I'd want a taller player. Again I ask: where are all the people who used to trumpet PER as the judge of a player? What's been Afflalo's PER as a Blazer?
No, the rule only applies to Americans. Actually, that reminds me: we've all forgotten how Aldridge put off surgery for the sake of the team. Not a peep from him about that, but I wonder if that's contributing to his shooting troubles?
Joerger is right. C.J. has averaged 22 points off the bench the last two games. That's huge bench production. Two years ago, our entire bench only averaged 18.5 ppg. Its so nice to finally have some bench scoring and I'm so glad it's come with the emergence of our young players that are on cheap rookie contracts and still improving. BNM
They have all become a lot smarter and realized that although it is and interesting statistic, it has too many flaws especially for small time frames. (i.e CJ's PER after 5 games........)
And the Blazers have a huge problem if that other white PG for the Griz keeps hitting 3's like Korver.
PER is a fine statistic, as long as you know that it has zero to do with man-to-man defense, overrates blocks and steals, and was developed by a goddamn nerd.
Here's the full quote: "We've got serious problems right now with CJ McCollum," Joerger said. "He is getting to the rim, to the rim, to the rim on us, over and over again. He had a good game tonight. We've got to do a better job of keeping him in front of us."
