Had you not mentioned that, I wouldn't have noticed it. Now it's the ONLY thing I notice.

Nah. It just weakens when it goes over land. Which makee this even funnier. The longer its on land the weaker it becomes. By the time it got through the state of florida (in the "original" drawings) itd of lost most its power. It needs the water to strengthen.

So glad he is not on my team and therefore would feel some need to try and understand/defend him. Hoo boy!

But I must admit, with four bankruptcies under his belt, he is clearly good at destroying economies.

I just had to bring back this thread one last time as his trifecta of buffoonery during this election was amazing, even for him:

    1. Downplaying a global pandemic
    2. Politicizing mask wearing even AFTER he predictably got Covid
    3. Telling his people NOT to vote by mail

Gee, I wonder why he lost?

He is a horrible politician who got lucky and caught lightening in a bottle once four years ago and thought he was some sort of political genius. He was and is a buffoon.

The quote I started this thread with 4 years ago sure was apt:

"And what did that liberal David Brooks say? "We’ve never had a major national leader as professionally unprepared, intellectually ill informed, morally compromised and temperamentally unfit as the man taking the oath on Friday.""

Thank God Biden won. We're lucky to have survived this shitshow.

OK, thank you for your indulgence, I feel better now.

The only reason he became president to begin with is a lot of people didn't like Hillary and didn't vote thinking she was going to win anyway. If people knew what the result would be, they would have voted and he never would have won.

The biggest tragedy is that 70M+ people bought into his brand of bullshit. And they’ll be rattling our cages for the foreseeable future. For too many people it’s about making others lose so they can “win”......what a pathetic pathology.

    I get what you're saying

70 million is a lot. But a lot of that lot never bought his bullshit; they just can't bring themselves to vote for any Democrat. I have 3 or 4 in-laws like that. They actually detest trump but they like the tax policy (they are wealthy).

now, effectively those millions of votes out of that 70 million still count as part of the 70 million so they are essentially supporting trump's corruption and lies, but they aren't as ignorant as the MAGA dipshits. I don't know, maybe that's worse

another thing: 70 million is not "nearly half" of the US as I see said often. It's actually only about 21% of 330 million people. And a good chunk of that 21% will not support an insurrection of right wing militia's gunning down liberals in the streets...which seems to be a significant component of left wing paranoia.

But that is his (and the R party's) bullshit. The idea that NO republican candidate could ever be so bad that you'd vote for a Democrat (or vice versa, obviously) is a very extreme position.

If Anthony Weiner was the D's choice for President, I wouldn't vote for him. Or Ted Wheeler (tho I think he's technically an independent).
