And why limit it to religion? Next time I see anyone doing something I disagree with, it's my duty to a) assign a group to that person (nationality, race, creed, sexual preference, etc) and b) kill everyone I see who belongs to that group? Not necessarily an American principle. Though it's happened multiple times in recent history. Maybe you'd like living in Nazi Germany, Stalinist USSR, the Cultural Revolution in China, Rwanda, Sudan, Srebrenica? As long as there's not a lot of "collateral damage"?
I just kind of want to see it so the muslims go bat shit crazy about it. hopefully no terrorist attacks though, islam is, after all, the religion of peace!
Oh definitely I'm on board. I think everybody should kill each other over any damned thing that strikes their whim. I'll be sitting in the bleachers, gleefully egging them on. And don't nobody better take my kettle corn, or I'm jihading hardcore.
This is a very selfish and idiotic act. Fuck the Quran, I don't give a fuck about that book. But there are millions upon millions of whack job fundamentalist Muslims that do, and they're going to take it out on our military and our civilians. It's just stupid.
Fla. minister cancels burning of Qurans on 9/11 GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The minister of a Florida church said he has canceled plans to burn copies of the Quran because the leader of a much-opposed plan to build an Islamic Center near ground zero has agreed to move its location. The agreement couldn't be immediately confirmed. The Rev. Terry Jones said Thursday that Americans oppose the mosque being built at the location and that Muslims do not want the Quran burned. He said instead of his plan to burn the books on Saturday to mark the ninth anniversary of 9/11, he will be flying to New York to speak to Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf about moving the mosque. "We are, of course, now against any other group burning Qurans," Jones said during a news conference. We would right now ask no one to burn Qurans. We are absolutely strong on that. It is not the time to do it."
seems like this Koran burning wack job is more reasonable than the Imam building the mosque, who claims if its not built, it will start a bigger holy war (reminder: Islam is the religion of peace)
Sounds like he's just building a reason why he went on with the burning. Afterall, the Imam went back on his word.
I really hate that these two situations are being combined together. The only reason this idiot brought up the whole "no mosque" deal is because morons like Palin and Beck did. One guy is trying to blackmail and incite people from another religion, and the other just.. isn't.
I think the muslims are the crazier nutjobs for reacting how they are reacting in comparison to the Florida dude. The guy is doing a symbolic burning on a copy of a book, yet they are acting like the world is ending.
Attending the church of your choice and bearing arms are the right of all Americans. Is that a problem for you? Not that I agree with burning ANY book of ANY kind. Like censorship of any kind, it is a stupid and cowardly act. I don't do the Facebook thing but these rabble-rousers do: http://www.facebook.com/pages/International-Burn-A-Koran-Day/134718123226530?v=wall
