What about Ward?

    However, Yugo, it wasn't like Ward was being a ball hog and never letting the ball leave his hands. The way the offense was set up in the beginning of the season, it was either pass it to McGrady once you cross the halfcourt or dump it down to Yao. Ward passed the ball alot, it's just that he wasn't the designated playmaker most of the time, so he never got saddled with tons of assists.

    Actually, when you watch rocket games, wards performance was very disturbing. His offense was horrible. He was shooting 312 from the field and 314 from the arc. Not vey impressive. I dont want a guy withthat game on the court. Sure things like wesley and other stuff helped the team, but ward was a very big problem, and you cant say that he shouldnt take any blame. He was the root of the problems. Did you watch how he played, it was just horrible.

    Ward gives JVG more options, like switching Sura or James to SG, etc.. Also insurance in case someone goes down. With the roster size increasing to 14 next season he should be on the active roster.
