I've been comparing E-Train to Andrea Bargnani for the last week, glad to see someone else who thinks the same way. Both are 7'0", both can score in many ways, both are great shooters, both can hit the three, both have rebounding/defensive problems. E-Train is more explosive and much more athletic but they are very similar.

He's getting good at attacking the rim now. If he improves on his rebounding and defending, he'll be a great overall player in the future. I don't really know much about Yi. Looking forward to seeing him play.</div>Yi is more athletic while Bargnani shoots better

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (群雄逐鹿 @ Jun 30 2007, 12:55 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>A lot of guys are talking about Yi Jianlian's NBA comparison,we've seen KG,PG16,Darco Milicic. But I really think Andrea Bargnani has something to with our Chinese big man.Let us make some thing out:Body type:Both Yi and Andrea have good body type, long arms, strong thigns(both6-11,around 230 lbs),need a lot of upper body development.Gift talent:Both have very quick step for big men,run the floor well, very soft shooting touch,Andrea has a better feel for the offence while Yi plays with great energy and better explosion.Offence:Both versatile big shooter, with a combination of Size, shooting touch and rhythm.Relatively speaking,Bargnani does very well in top of the key as well as the wing, with a nice step and quick adjustment to make the shot,he is a nice guy with ball, who can penetrate, sometimes make a turnaround.Yi is a better off-ball player, for he has more international match experience. He can make the screen and be a spot-shooter,which will always kill his opponents, this strategy is common in Guangdong, maybe the best Team in China professional league,,and also in Chinese National Team.Yi has long arms and good jumping ability,it makes him hard to be bothered.Yi does not do very well while meeting the double-team and he is not a great dribbler, but when he is posting up,he usually becomes a tough guy, especially got a bit fire.In a word,Bargnani is more like a shooter than a post player.while Yi,I think ,he could do something more in the paint.Defense:Both good shot block with different tips.Yi depends on his leaping ability more while Bargnani uses his judgement a lot.Yi is a better defender in a team defence,he can help his teammates very well but sometimes has trouble fouling.Yi is also a good stopper,he can also make a steal in a sudden, then, dunk it home!Bargnani seems to lack enthuiasms in Defense, but he has a really sense of the ball moving,so he can often get someone off the dribble. They can develop their D to A new Level!Teamplay:Players from China and Europe are usually playing a good teamwork. Therefore,Yi and Bargnani are good team player, they both need a better understanding of the game.History:They played together in 2004 Nike Hoop Summit in Internatinal team as teammates against USA team leading by Josh Smith,Al Jefferson and Aldridge.Yi was a 5 at starting line-up while Andrea was a back-up 4.I hope both young guys can play very great game,Yi,just be yourself,Jiangsu is watching,Guangdong is watching,China's gotta be watching,Go China!</div>Yi can not shoot the NBA three right now...and that's what bargnani thrived on...so right now I don't know if that comparison is accurate.
