    does ayton's waver clearing (happens tomorrow I believe) not in any way affect the grant trade possibilities?

    No impact. Grant trade news, as well as all trade news, can be agreed to now but will be executed on the 6th.

    Grant is not being traded to LAL.
    But Ayton's contract has no impact of bearing on any potential trade.
