I have looked at expense rates and grades etc. at all schools and all I listed are pretty much affordable. Also UA it takes a 2.5 gpa for out of state which I easily get. I also have volunteered in stuff for the town and I am active in things for school such as athletics and clubs. I normally get a 3.5 or higher for my gpa so all the schools I listed are pretty reasonable for me exept maybe Davis. I actually have put a lot of research in colleges even if I am young. BTW ArizonaFan I don't really care what your friend thinks. People have different views and personalities and mine is I'm not a big partier. I don't want to go to some big party school I want to go somewhere to learn not party.
im going to Cal - State Fullerton... It is right by my house. And Bruce bowen went there.. so that is cool

Also I have a 3.9 gpa and am in mostly honors classes so I have definetly looked into it.
Well, i really want to go to UT Austin but im not sure if my grades are good enough. It sucks because my school is one of the top schools in Texas so it makes me look bad. I have a 3.8 and im not even in the top 25 percent.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (jordan4pres. @ Jul 7 2006, 07:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>im going to Cal - State Fullerton... I had a 4.0 GPA (out of 5.0) and barely missed being in the top 25% of my class (my class did have like 750 people though, no joke). Don't worry though... the colleges also look at how competitive your high school was, so as long as you keep your GPA about where it is, you should get in.By the way, just out of curiousity, which high school do you go to?

I'm only 14 now, but I'm already thinking about this, I don't want to stay in Ireland and go to college or University here, I really want to go to college in the US, Ie heard of a few people doing it, I need to discuss it with a few people in school...The downside would be being such a long way away from family and friends etc.I would prefer to go to a college in California or something along the west coast.

Stanford seems like the perfect school to me, academics and good sports. Too bad I wouldn't be accepted and I love ASU.
sports teams should have nothing to do with it, unless you're planning on joining the team. You shouldn't sacrifice going to a better school bc another one has a better basketball team. That's just stupid.
College is all about women and getting drunk, so you should go to the best party school.Academics is probably the next most important thing, maybe.
I currently go to Florida International University. Honestly, I didn't really have any other choices, FIU was probably my #1 choice. Mainly cuz it's affordable and it's not a bad commute. (about a 45 min - 1 hour drive depending on traffic) Also it's not a bad school, I mean, it's pretty good at least for my major, they got one of the top business schools and plus, a lot of my friends are going there so it wasn't really a hard decision.

Anyone who thinks they are good enough most likely have no clue how good you have to be and how badly you want it.
I'll be on the college basketball team on a low key Canadian college Yeah, but seriously. You should definately choose education over sports because none of us here will be making a career out of playing sports. Lets just get that out of the way. So you should pick a college that suits the topic you want to pursue or your academic strengths.

Its a suberb near San Antonio. Put it this way, Boerne is in the top 10 best places to retire to in the world so you have basically no crime or any of that stuff which means you have rich familes which means you have smart kids...thats what conclusion i have come to. Yeah, i have a 3.8 out of a possible like 4.2 or something. My best friend has a 4.2 and he is number 3 in our class.
