he deserved to get booed for consistently being underwhelming for years. It wasn't just about last night.

They got what they could out of him. There’s no way in hell he has the mental makeup to be a post player. He’s a shooting guard in a centers body.

Sure so lets boo a guy every time he misses a shot. That will make the team want to play better. Yeah that's the ticket.
You got guys unprovoked coming to his defense. Both Lillard and Nurkic. You can bet the rest are up in arms about it. Maybe it will work? Who knows?

It boils down to this for me:

He's a dude who is built to be a bruising inside big man. Instead of perfecting his skills in the post, he spent his time working on a shitty outside shot. He has a bad release. He's not quick. He's not agile. But he spent his time working on a skill that he should not have been working on. The Blazers are partly to blame for this because they let him.

The boos were not about his 8 mins vs Milwaukee. Or any missed shots. It was about years of being a bad basketball player.

3 seasons ago you would be absolutely right...does not apply to this season from my view...he worked his ass off and he rebounds and defends better...without getting minutes...I really at this point have no reason to bash the kid....he's making an effort....if he could learn to keep his eyes open...it'd be a game changer for him

I agree that unlike his clownish unmotivated early years, about 2 years ago he got serious (contract time). As for the eyes, I noticed that many years ago, developed my fantastic contact lens theory, and no one will follow my leadership around here.

lol, you made that quite extreme. Did you actually sit down and comprehend the entirety of the sentence, especially the part where I said "it's about years" ...

He deserved it for YEARS of it. Not that shot. Years.

It's too late. We have too many good bigs now. His time is past.

If he makes that shot do they Boo? I agree. They were all about the airball. Of course Chiefs first shot was just as bad but no Boos at all?

Common sense! You have it! It's really not hard to comprehend. And it's okay, Meyers isn't good consistently. It's just who he is.

The point is if he made it they would not have responded that way. It was not about years. It was about that shot.

It's totally classless. If you can't see that then fine. But the fact remains. The guy has worked hard this last summer his number are much better and he is willing to contribute. He works hard unlike Harkless and he puts in all he has. Booing him was wrong. Simple to understand also.

The fans complaining about boos are as soft as Meyers. I’m joking, but there’s a reason it’s called FANATIC. I wouldn’t personally boo our own player but if someone else wants to, they should be able to without others trying to guilt them into feeling bad about it. The guy gets paid 10 million dollars a year to waive a towel, I think he can handle a little criticism. You can come up and literally slap me in my face for that kinda cash.
