I don't think people would really care if he was making 5 million a year. Neil should have never given him that extension.
Disagree. It was about MEYERS missing that shot. The guy who looks like he should dominate, who posts about himself flexing in the gym, his dog, and his Jeep, who plays basketball because he’s 7ft tall and makes 10m a year but other than that has no clue about it the game or he’d stick his ass in the paint and clean up.
I agree. People boo for 1 or more reasons. 1. Olshey drafted him. 2. Olshey didn't trade him in his 2nd year, when it was obvious. 3. Olshey gave him a raise instead of dumping him. 4. Stotts misuses him. 5. Olshey and Stotts are perfect. It's all on the player for effort. Many fans aren't booing the player (#5), when they boo the player.
Nurk airballed a jumper as well. Fans didn't boo him for it because they know he still does the dirty work and they aren't tired of him. P.S. I would never boo Meyers but I don't fault others for doing it.
He needs to stop talking and start delivering. All this dude does is talk about how hard he's working and how he's improving.
So if he made it they wouldn’t have boo’d him. But he missed and they did. But it wasn’t about Meyers at all, just missing a shot? He just happened to get the brunt of the crowds anger?
Meyers is the equivalent of a dude that always walks around carrying a clipboard trying to look busy. But if you looked closer, he's not doing shit.
He is doing just that.....and not complaining for being a 3rd stringer...fans are doing the talking this season..Meyers has been pretty chill
he's shown me more in his production this season sans injury than any since his rookie season but give credit where credit is due....current Meyers hate is just a popularity fad in my view...he's improved and produced..as I said..his rebounding is helping us in even limited minutes
I've moved on from that....I don't see it adding anything to the success of the team or even his trade value moving forward...I see a better player in the guy this year...sure he's had the longest rookie wall ever, but he's here and until he's not...I'll cheer for him to succeed...
bad choice of words...popular scapegoat would probably be a better way to word it....and sure...he brought it on by having serious confidence issues....feeding them is not going to help the cause in my view
I'm just done with him. I want him off the team. I'm tired of the experiment. I won't boo him. I'm just done. I have zero expectations for him, but at the same time, I'm tired of hearing every year about how THIS IS THE YEAR that he turns it around.
