I could see that arguement if you tried to install like a dozen really complex schemes that would probably not work and would be really hard when they bring in guys mid season.

It's funny some people look to be offended and climb atop that soapbox.

I would laugh at the insult and the person (even if it was face-to-face). Usually a person loses the argument by the time they resort to insults. It's hilarious to me. :biglaugh:

Wouldn't you need to actually play defense before you could do something different?

If a poster or post doesn't have a brain, how can it be a "grey area"?

    Bump.
Enes needs to continue to improve. Protect the rim as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd priority. Stay with his man as long as he's under the basket. If it's someone like Brook Lopez it's a challenge, but against most Centers he needs to stay in the paint, protect the rim.
BTW, if you understand the challenge Brook Lopez presents think Meyers Leonard. The Meyers needs to get some playing time, even his defense improved and on offense he's an amazing tool to have

No one would care about Kanter's defense if he were to step in to the starting lineup to take CJ's place.

So he should let a penetrating guard get an open dunk or layup as long as he's guarding his man?

Exactly the opposite. He needs to protect the paint and Not let an opposing guard get an easy dunk, that's exactly what i meant

Stay with his man while his man is in the paint, react to penetration to protect the rim, and prepare for the penetrating guard to dish off to the man he left. Just like Nurk or any other center is expected to do.

Don't pretend that's not precisely your job on defense in your rec league games.
