Dad bought me the NES used with a plethora of games and Nintendo Power issues in 1992 from someone close to the family, SNES followed a couple of years later from one of my classmates at school; N64 was my first "new" system Christmas 1996; given a Genesis shortly after that by my uncle, got the Dreamcast in 2000 on my own, PS2 after graduating high school in 2003, PS3 Slim and PS4 Slim after those were released.....still have it all. Bought a 7800 at some point a decade or so ago, so there's that, too.

Someday, I'll get a PS5. Right now, I've got my first kid on the way in early May, I'm about to close on a house....money has other priorities to be spent on. Plus, this kid needs to be introduced to all of my old stuff.

I played a lot of whiffle ball. It was perfect for neighborhood streets.

I loved capture the flag. Played it in the woods. I was stealthy as hell. I could take the flag without anyone knowing.

Yeah, I remember Sonic CD being very weird compared to its earlier versions. Sega got ahead of themselves technology wise without understanding how to properly harness it.

That brings back a lot of memories. My Grandpa bought me a Lionel train one year. Loved that thing. So well made. Got a some other brand train set for around the Christmas tree a few years back and it pissed me off. The quality just wasn't there. Told my wife we had to get a Lionel.

I remember the electric race car tracks. Never really played risk much. I was more into Stratego. Flag football, yep! I also had a Schwinn bike. I used to explore abandoned buildings with my friends. Got in trouble for it on more than one occasion.

I always thought of kids who had Nintendo Power or WWF Magazine subscriptions as rich.

Nintendo Power and Sports Illustrated subscriptions were the trappings of means and culture when I was a kid.

I grew up on Nintendo, Super Nintendo, N64. Then switched over PlayStation. I’ve had every PlayStation since the original. Will get the PS5 when possible.

I work a lot and am usually busy but when I get a chance I play NBA2k. Madden has got a little boring to me over the years. For the past 15 years i play strictly sports games. Nothing else does it for me anymore.

I play NBA2k online and have ranked up to European tier for those familiar. I think I’ll always play 2k. It’s so realistic for the most part and let’s me get my competitive urge out.

The kids play fort night non stop. Corny as fuck.

My best friend would usually get either EGM or GamePro magazines. Those were great to borrow in exchange for Nintendo Power from time to time.
