no, he wasn't in 3 games against Denver in the regular season, he averaged 14 pts & 11 rebs while shooting 85% on FG's, and posting a pretty amazing TS% of .872 and was +8.3 I don't know if it's the after effects of Ramadan, or the way Denver is attacking him, or if he was hit on the head by a Toyota, but whatever it is he's looked completely lost and disengaged, on both ends of the floor
first thing is I apparently don't know the difference between 3 and 4 1 game with Nurkic out, 2 as Nurkic's backup
It’s so weird the soon to be NBA MVP who spits out triple doubles on a nightly basis is making Kanter look bad
I guess I'm wondering what happened to Kanter from the 2019 2nd round to today in his defense and play vs. Denver. Enes, playing with one arm, was a beast in replacement of injured Nurk, and was a big reason for the Blazers' win of that series. Was the combo of Aminu and Harkless that much better than RoCo and Powell/Melo? Or has Jokic just improved THAT much? Is the missing of Collins that glaring?
But you already knew this going in son. We’ve known this about Kanter once he joined the league. Why are people on here surprised about this?
Just calling out again that we knew that we had massive holes at backup point guard and our frontcourt since the beginning of the season, and it was further highlighted when Nurk and CJ went down... but Neil did nothing. Now Simons and Kanter aren't doing jack shit and we're paying for it.
Fuck yes I would tell him in his face. I would ask him where his pride is. I would ask him how is it possible that he is worst shot blocker in history and worst defender ever. Posters like you are the reason stotts is still blazer coach
Haha. No you wouldn't. You are the definition of the keyboard tough guy. You would ask Enes Kanter about his pride? GTFOH.
EVERYONE makes Kanter look bad... on DEFENSE. But he usually makes up for it with rebounding and efficient scoring. After the Blazers won game 1 everyone was saying Denver was toast because Jokic can't defend the pick and roll. That was a strength of Kanter's - including against Denver in the regular season. What changed?
His strength is his rebounding. He is great at offensive rebounds and putbacks. They don't need to run many plays for him IMO. Some yes, but not many.
Kanter strength is rebounding but I’ve thought for the past couple of weeks or so he’s been getting worked on the boards. Maybe he’s playing through an injury or something but he’s been a step late for awhile now.
