Mediocrity over such a long period of time. We've seen this movie and until the stars change/grow/develop, the movie isn't likely to either.
I don't see how you think you've "seen this movie" given the major change in roster and the injury to Dame early on. Unless you're tired of Dame...there's not much resembling any other roster in the last decade and if you haven't seen growth from Sharpe, Ant or even Watford....not sure what you're watching. There is also way more parity in the league than I can possible ever remember so I'm saying ...mediocre is a dated adjective that doesn't apply here.
Haven't been to a game in years. Riots, Covid, Carmelo, Ariza, inflation, and the shitty music at games all contributed to varying degrees.
I use to drive over the mountains to take my daughter to a couple games a year. Now she is out of state at college and no more going to the games.
Are they still largely built around 2 smallish guards who are better with the ball in their hands, are rarely as good together as they are individually, and don't play much defense? Sounds awfully familiar to me....
injuries are a big X factor in all that....I think given how we're limping into Xmas...we're way better top to bottom than you do I guess but hey....enjoy the season..also the league is better in the West than maybe ever
I would say there is a lot more equality with a lot of teams, than it is better than ever. Wasn't there a year when 7 or maybe even 8 teams won 50 games in the WC? Right now there are only 3 teams on pace to win 50.
100%. There has been a steady decline in service and appeal while prices go up and lines last longer. lets look no further than thier move to digital only payments and with parking and tickets only available via app. This move has created a big bottleneck in seceral facets. First parking: Now i am either forced to dig onto my phone app illegally while driving so i have the parking pass ready when entering, or i have to pull up to the gate, then get my phone and dig up the ticket. This has created massive backups on interstate and drexler. Not to mention some parking lot entries have been closed on random games bottlenecking the other entries. its never been good traffic but its far worse than in the past now. The blazers merger with Ticketmaster has allowed them an out to not be responsible and say its out of their control. Bs. It was thier choice to go third party. When i became a season ticketholder i had a season card and a parking pass to hang from my review for the season. Now lets go inside the moda where all payments are automated. I wont go into these details because the glitches are random and odd, like no tip option or no scanning of season holder discounts, cashiers not able to manually enter discounts, etc, Less open concession stands, food is more for less, etc. Vulcan Blazers have cut corners everywhere. Less mics on the floor for the natural noise is just one of many many declines in product. i understand these changes have come during a massive inflation time, and i will say my rep has been great in lending an ear to grievances, but i don't see top brass giving a rats ass about the average fan complaint. I will likely hang my ticket up for someone else at the end of the season if i see the continual progression towards a less than adequate experience going to a game.
I noticed it in the last home game, but not in the previous games. I thought maybe it was because it was a Tuesday night game with Dame, Kawai, and PG all out. The crowd seemed pretty good to me earlier in the season. I guess we will see tonight.
There is a bad cough bug going around. My wife and daughter went to a birthday party just before Thanksgiving and got the cough a few days later. Lasted about a week or so. Just a cough and no fever or anything - weird.
