Where is our shooting going to come from, without Gordon, I wonder....someone who can keep defenses honest.

John Paxson has basically said Gordon will be a starter over Paxson's dead body. So what are the Bulls going to do to his role and playing time midway through a meaningless season (for the team) when Gordon's on the QO? They're going to de-emphasize him and start "playing for the future" with <strike>Aaron Rogers</strike> Thabo, Larry Hughes, Kirk Hinrich, etc. Gordon limps off into free agency and gets totally screwed. </div> 1. When did Paxson say that (that Gordon won't start?) 2. Why doesn't Paxson want him starting? 3. When did Paxson become head coach? </div> http://sportstwo.com/forums/Pax-explains-G...on-t112511.html 1. He said in a direct quote that the issue with Gordon starting is his size. He ain't gonna get bigger. 2. Apparently because Kirk Hinrich has a longer neck and is thus, a bit taller than Gordon (who has a longer standing reach, vertical and wingspan, and who's a bit stronger than Kirk). 3. It appears sometime around when Skiles checked out. One of the criticisms from "the organization" about Skiles was that he didn't bench Ben Gordon. The moment Skiles left, Gordon went to the bench, never to return.

Iggy plays the 3 more and Young played 3/4. So that looks like a pretty good fit for him to me. They don't have a lot to offer the Bulls in return, but if the Sixers really want to take a step up, swapping Green and say, Jason Smith for Gordon would bring a lot to them.</div> Yes, Young played the 3 & 4, but Brand changes everything. Iggy can play either the 2 or 3 and Young is much, much better than Willie Green. Also, Stefanski isn't a fan of short for their position players. </div> Miller Iggy Young Brand Dalembert Not a shooter amongst them. </div> Both Iggy and Young are better shooters than Willie Green. Brand has a very good mid-range game. That is also a significantly better defensive lineup than one with Ben Gordon in it. Besides, they need to have playing time for Louis Williams coming off the bench. It would completely ridiculous for Philly to pay Ben Gordon what he wants and give up assets to get him. </div> Lighten up, Francis.

Amare and Garnett being 1-2. There is simply no guarantee an untried rookie is going to come close to his production. At 25 years old, he could be a fixture in anyone's lineup for at least 5 more years.
