Stotts is slightly above average. Thibs is way above average. Plus, offensively our team should never really struggle as significantly ESPECIALLY if we use our defense to create offense for us occasionally. Assuming players returned, Dame, LMA, Batum and McCollum can all create, pass, and get buckets and the other is well LMA.

I'd ask critical player input, but...

Thibs is a commodity IMO, and would be hesitant towards his attitude towards the FO..

But ultimately I think Thibs can take us to the next level... I think Stotts peaked early..

I can see it now... If we don't move on Thibs you are gonna create some bullshit strawman thread....

If we got Thibs, we'd have a coach who looks like a Used Car Dealer, and a GM who looks like the dealerships' Sales Manager... totally works.

he had Derrick Rose for less than half of his games as a coach there and still has a top notch winning percentage.

I cannot say enough positive things about Thibs. He's a brilliant coach at both ends of the floor. He's just had little talent or aged talent to work with all along with the Bulls.

He should go to the Spurs, coach 1 or 2 years under Pops and then become HC when Pops retires.

You should offer him Nate's mod position.

A related question: if the Bulls fired Gar Foreman and/or John Paxson, would you want them?

Thibs will be hired somewhere, pretty quick.

I disagree. I think Rose has Oden knee's and took off MORE than enough time and missed practice frequently (you can even find the Thibs quote saying Derrick needs to practice with the team more).

Most Bulls fans primarily attribute Noah and Deng's injuries to Thibs From what I've heard

I don't think Thibs hurt his players or was cause of their injuries. They could have gotten hurt in practice, in a close game, in a blowout early in the game, or even in the shower (like Joel did).

He played him in garbage time and that's when he first got his first major injury. He has had a tendency to do that.

Portland should stay the course. My lifetime of early playoff exits and also-rans seem to be ok with the fan base as long as players and coaches are likeable. If it's ok for fans, why try to improve?

Maybe the team in the NBA's fourth largest market should have stopped shopping in the bargain bin and had the balls to get Thibs some actual depth. You want to win you play your best players he did that.

his tendency to do that didn't cause d rose, a player that was known to be wreck less with his body in the air, to tear his acl imo. It was a freak accident to someone who is kinda considered to be fragile now...snake bitten.. Or else I think they would've had more acl injuries by now.

I guess spoelstra ran lebron and wade into the ground too.

It's a problem, yea, but I'm sure we could figure something out.

Actually it did. This was his first major injury, after that, the following injuries were more likely. Don't you remember when this happened, everyone was like why the fuck was Rose in the game still.
