What is an appropriate penalty for Arenas?

    My dad taught me there is no such thing as an unloaded gun. Just ask all the people who've been killed by one. Oops.

    I don't know what the penalty should be. Suspended the rest of the season without pay? Definitely pass a gun safety course.

    I don't agree this is likely to be worse in Stern's eyes than Artest going into the stands to pummel the (wrong) fan. That was on live TV and has been viewed a billion times worldwide.

    The locker room incident, whatever it was, was out of sight and for the most part out of mind. Hell, this thing will get FAR less play in the national media than a certain famous golfer getting friendly with friendly women.

    What a culture.

    If the initial reports are true, jail time and banned from the league for life.

    If what he says is true, ten game suspension, plus whatever fines and penalties are called for in the CBA, the arena SOP, local statutes, and team policies.
