Hmm. I'd bet the drain holes at the roof line are a prime place of ingress for tile roofs, with entrance into the attic possible at vent openings. I'm going with squirrels.
exterminator came today in my absence. The correct answer is . . . either a "Norway rat" or a "roof rat." Congrats to those who voted for the rat! I'll go with a "roof rat," since my ten-second research tells me that Norway Rats live closer to the water, and roof rats like to eat fruit (we have some fruit trees; i have to remember to remove the fruit that falls on the ground). He thinks there is just one, not a family. He has set traps. I say, let's just catch the snake and put it up in the attic for a few days. FOMW, he says that the rat probably entered through the "AC chase" if that means anything. No idea what that is. BTW, now there is a lizard in the house, and mrs. dumpy is freaking out. IT'S JUST A LIZARD.
Mrs. Dumpy ever wonder aloud if San Diego and Massachusetts feature the same "vermin as houseguests" component as lovely Western Florida?
what a great question. She hasn't so wondered. I'll ask her what she thinks, though. Even the six-year-old knows how to catch the lizards!
however, they are being entrapped and removed from the premises. This last one I named "William Jefferson."
If you want to turn this into a political thread, we better take it to the Blazers OT forum where it belongs.
