Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? I'm talking about their careers, Nash's career cannot be compared to Kidd. And that is why i find it disturbing.
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? Well Kidd had the better career but 1 year doesn't stand out with Kidd over the last 2 years with Nash.

Any guard that can't shoot becomes a liability on the offense. The only Kidd was effective was on the fast break. He still is good at that but shooting would help him surpass Nash. Yes Kidd has outplayed Nash the last meeting and all but Nash has had the better year.</div> Your calling Jason Kidd a liability on offense? He didn't need to score, sure he was not a great shooter but calling Kidd an offensive liability is ridiculous. He was always good at finishing when driving to the basket.
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? Well his teams never scored a lot of points. They were good on defense but I always thought Kidd's offensive game was overrated. He was only effective on the fastbreak. You just have to be careful not to let Kidd do that. Kidd was the better overall player I guess but in no way was he an offensive juggernaut like Nash is now.

Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? Maybe because he is. The offensive flow of Nash plus his shooting is a deadly combo.
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? I really don't think you actually believe Jason kidd is better than nash. You only admitted it because you were going to be ridiculed. It's fine though, i know you're secret [not much of one now]edit: Plus from the other forum Pm the reason why you think Dirk is more valubale than lebron. You never answered me
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? Actually Kidd does really well in rebounding and defense and that is why I think he is better. His shooting is an achilles heal but he does everything else well. I started a thread on Lebron vs. Dirk.

But this dude deserves better. Great all-around player, can play literally any position, great ball-handling to play PG, can overpower his oppenents at SG, SF is where he plays best, has the strength and bulk to play PF, maybe not C, but he would definitely cause a matchup problem because of his quickness. Pierce has tried to make his teamates better but they aint responding. He will get in, but he is definitely not any more popular than Nash, who has completely turned around the Phoenix franchise. We didnt even know about Boris Diaw until now.- Nowitzki is one of the candidates for MVP talk, but how can he get MVP, when his team does great in the regular season, but they dont get that far in the playoffs. He will get in as well, for his stellar career and inspiration for young european players. - Davis?? DAVIS?? Thats a bit out of the question. Turnover machine, injury prone...you honestly think this guy is more popular than NASH?- Brand isnt the reason the Clippers have changed. Its Cassell.</div>Dude I just gave examples. It could be tough though. Can he make it over Dirk, Pierce, Vince, Ray Allen, Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace, Brand (Clipps wouldn't be that good without Brand though. I agree Cassell is turning around the Clipps, but Brand is a huge reason too.) etc.Kidd has a better chance of making the HOF than Nash, but Kidd is slowing down, and Nash is a better right now.

Many people felt he should have won the MVP that year (including me) over Tim Duncan.
Re: What is Steve Nash's legacy if he wins his 2nd MVP? I think it's pretty easy, Kidd had competition in the years he had a good shot at MVP with Duncan and Shaq. Kidd did for Nets what Nash is doing for Suns. Kidd just did it in years where the MVP race was close. People can debate this year's MVP, but it's not close, Nash has been the clear cut pick by everyone all year despite Kobe and Dirk. Kobe's team is not at the top and Dirk just doesn't get much press.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Too bad shooting is the most important thing in the game.</div>No it's not. Every aspect of the game is important one way or another. Shooting alone is just part of basketball. Also, Jason Kidd is not that bad of a shooter people make him out to be. Bottom line you won't believe Kidd is better then Nash, so this debate is moot.
