<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I rather have 6 Rings over 25 ppg</div>I don't think you can trivialize Malone's acheivements in just "25 ppg". He scored the second-most points ever. He was part of the best pick-and-roll duo ever. He's considered a top-3 power forward, maybe even the best of all time.

ROK, you are saying that you would have rather have mooched off of good players and won 6 championships than to be the 2nd all time leading scorer, an all star over 10 times, a player who was a part of the best pick and roll of all time, 2 mvp's, and over ten first team all NBA's? Please, tell me that you are kidding

I would much rather be Karl Malone...an all-time great...and not to mention he made a lot more money than Robert Horry.

I don't think I could bear the pain of being one of the best players to never win a ring in NBA history.

Whoever said they play this game to be the best player in the league is selfish, it's a team game. I'll take the rings and team accomplishments over individual statistics/awards. I'm sorry if you don't feel that way ballerman but I'm not you. Spare me the are you kidding me remarks.

In Los Angelos, he averaged probably 7 points for the series and made one big shot the entire playoffs, and he gets the ring for it. With houston, he was a starter but he was one of the last options on the starting squad. It wouldnt feel the same knowing that what you do to contribute doesnt make that big of an impact. Sure, he made some big shots and had a big game for the Spurs, but that doesnt make him near the player that karl malone ever was.

He wasn't anywhere close to the player Karl Malone ever was, few are. But to say his contributions didn't make a big impact is wrong. He hit game changing shots in extremely close series'. Series' where a couple of points could mean the difference between winning and losing.

No sh*t Horry didn't put up the production Malone did but it's not like Horry sat on the bench and did nothing but wave towels. He contributed and played. If numbers are your thing, ok with me. I just don't care about individual numbers, I'm more of a team guy. And the most successful thing you can do as a team is win a championship, something everyone wants to do even the best power forward in the league.

If you dont care about numbers, than you can care that he was one of the best players of all time that helped his team AND stayed loyal for his team for the majority of his career. When he realized that the jazz couldnt do it, he changed teams to put himself in the best position to do so. But whatever i say isnt going to change ur mind so i guess it really doesnt matter. i just take offense to it for some reason

I definitely would prefer Malone's career..being one of the best in history and being recognized as one is much better than being a role player..even if you win championships. Karl also made a lot more money [IMG]
