I'm the opposite, have watched Suspects quite a few times, while I've started FC but just can't seem to ever finish it. As for the 2013 offerings, Zero Dark 30, Gangster Squad and Sin City 2 off the top of my head.

You must've missed the thriller "My Dessert with Andre."

It was a great, subtle Simpsons moment when Bart (possibly someone else) was playing an action video game, going crazy hitting buttons and the name on the machine was My Dinner with Andre.

Jack Reacher was a good movie. I thought there would be more action as there really isn't that much, but I really enjoyed the story. Tom maybe only 5"7 160lbs and in the book Jack is 6"5 220lbs but I thought Cruise did a good job in the role.

The Great Gatsby. DiCaprio and Macguire with Baz Luhrman directing? Yes please.

    Other than that?

    42 looks good.
The Place Beyond The Pines could be good.
    Stoker looks alright.
The Jack and the Beanstalk movie would be great stoned.
The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, again, while stoned.
Carrie, if they don't ruin it (they will.)
World War Z because why the fuck not.

Oh and the Dark Knight was possibly one of the worst movies I've seen.

Well, I have to qualify. Due to the hype it got and how well it did, it may only seem like one of the worst movies I've ever seen. But here's why.

It is, like the second half of Batman Begins, a shallow, hyper-cut, confusing, CGI wankfest stumbling its way through a thinly layered current event allegory for terrorism and national security. Don't get me wrong, most action films are this way. I just don't get why this one did so well besides the persistent meme that Batman (like Bacon or Chuck Norris) is awesome and can do no wrong, and that Heath Ledger acted like a goth kid in high school and then died.

But I try to focus on characters and dialog in movies, and they were... uh... bad.

Batman has no depth. He is merely a walking, grunting kick ass machine.

The Joker was written awfully. Maybe this is my nostalgia showing, yearning for the Mark Hamill voiced Joker from the 90's cartoon. But christ, did they have to turn him into an emo kid who asks people if they want to know how he got his scars? Laaaaame. The only redeeming part was when he was wearing the nurse outfit. THAT was classic Joker. The character being an overly dramatic gangster in makeup is just... ugh. I gotta give Ledger credit in his acting, though, even if he only won the Oscar because he died.

Two Face should have been a great character, but was given hardly any screen time, and then just kind of gotten rid of.

The dialog, picking up from the previous movie, is more recycled, not-now-dear-the-men-are-talking posturing over justice and honor and duty and blah blah blah blahhhhhhhhhhhh. I tried my best to enjoy this but I spent most of the time rolling my eyes at what was being said and then zoning out during the CGI-soaked action scenes. Especially the last 30 minutes of the movie wherein Batman somehow gains super technological powers via Morgan Freeman's magic? Or maybe Morgan is God. At that point, I would have accepted any explanation as valid, but none was given.

I dunno. I'm probably too much of an art-douche hipster tumblr-o-sexual who doesn't own a TV and enjoys reading books but I just don't get it.

ALL Batman movies made have been crap, IMO. None have anything in common with Batman as he existed in the comics of old. Every director and producer and screenwriter thinks he can create a better version of the character but they were all woefully mis-informed.

Oblivion movie was aright I thought it had some good visuals. I wish they would have had some more characters in the movie though. Can't wait for Iron Man 3 and that "Now You See Me" movie looks good!
