The team will be sold to the highest bidder. And they will buy their way out of any commitments if they feel like it.
The new owner has 4 years of business school, a double degree, with a Psych minor, multiple post graduate classes, certificates, designations, know the CBA (and used to talk about it by the hour with a former Blazer GM) have genius minions evaluate players for me and also played ball at a college level. So far, hiring you would be a faint duplication. What else can you bring? I'll even give you a hint. I don't want 'status quo' and being good at what has already been being done or what everyone else does. I want an innovator, someone who will bring me ideas that push the edges. Inevitably, it will be my decision but I want people willing to take a risk (educated) and willing to stand it. Go!
no one is going to spend 1.5 billion dollars for a team and an arena, and then spend the money to move the team and buy an arena (because why would they want to *not* own the arena they play in?) AND pay a penalty for moving the team. And then on top of that, they'd have a pretty much worthless arena in a city without a pro team using it? That is not a smart way to make money or run a franchise.
There we go. That is what is 'next' in terms of data usage, interpretation, etc. Seriously, @TorturedBlazerFan , outside of basketball, PM me if you are interested in a career discussion. My girl works for a company down in the Bay Area and more and more, that is what they are getting into.
They can sell the arena or operate it independantly as a concert venue. A company like AEG can totally do that.
The arena loses a lot of value if the move the team. They'd take a loss on the stadium since they'd have to buy it with the team. The team moving a far-fetched theory with no basis.
Oh thats easy, Id design MR(Mixed Reality) algorithms that help us know more about our players on the fly, hows there heart rates, body temperature, and other vitals during games. We’d use technology to gain an advantage over our opponents by knowing our team better. If I ever did anything professionally for basketball itd be things like that (and Im serious). Ive spent time at Microsoft campuses working on hololens developement. So I got that going for me. I dont want to be the gm though lol.
But it increases the value of the Vegas venue just as much, if not more. I wonder if MGM resorts would be able to own an NBA team.
Bad play. I'm more interested in a team approach. Your quest for individual glory does not bode well young grasshopper. And out of all of that, you came up with a game of one-on-one to prove your acumen? This resume' is headed in the wrong direction. Hit reboot and try again.
Using El Presidentes logic, why do we still have teams in Milwaukee, Memphis, and Utah? If every small market is dying to move... Ridiculous fear-mongering when we should be focused on remembering Paul Allen. This shit is pissing me off.
