Seattle didn't have an NBA quality arena when they moved and the fans in Seattle are some of the biggest bandwagon fans in Sports

From a Bald Faced Truth interview with Paulson in 2015:

"Said Paulson: "Look. If Paul Allen were selling the Blazers, would I be interested? Yes. I don't think baseball is something that has a future in Portland for a variety of reasons. I think to own a baseball team in a non-major market -- in a market of this size -- I mean, you look at the way baseball is struggling even in Seattle right now, I just don't think that's realistic.""

I'm sure they say the same about us. And "NBA Quality" is in the eye of the beholder.

Thursday is gonna be really emotional, but it just sucks a bunch of L*ker fans bought up the tickets from Blazer fans.

So fuck all Blazer fans that sold out and put money over franchise.

Cept that those who actually go to other arenas say the RG is among the best

I wonder if Olshey's position is a good deal less secure without PA.

If they still own stock in Nike, wouldn't the league block it?

Especially with the Seattle Sonics debacle. Till this day the nba still gets bad publicity about that. It just won’t happen.

Nobody's job is secure. Whoever buys the team will have their own management team.

They didn’t let the Kings move when they had the money ready to go. The nba doesn’t like when teams move they learned their lesson from the Sonics mess

As for Paulson having the cash. Forbes estimated the Timbers value at $270 million last year, the Blazer were estimated at 1.3 billion. I'm pretty sure he could put an ownership group together to make a legit offer.

Also of note is that the Braves ownership group sold tracking stocks in the team to finance their debt. Owners/groups can get pretty creative these days.

Its not his choice. It’s the NBAs like it wasn’t the Seattle money men’s choice when they were willing to write an open checkbook for the Kings back in 2013
