Scalabrine's new nickname should be the messiah.

The red-headed bench warmer is the best interview that The Fan could get?

The 2004 Pistons were a jump shooting team and they won the title.

That's right. It's not the norm, but that's what happened that year.

What wins in the playoffs? That's easy - teams that play good defense and that have superstar scoring power on offense. Since 1991, Finals MVP's: Jordan (6), Shaq (3), Duncan (3), Hakeem (2), Kobe (1), Pierce (1), Wade (1), Tony Parker (1), Billips (1)

How many of those guys are HOF'ers? At least 7 IMO (not Billips, and probably not Parker) In addition to playing good defense, you need to be able to avoid those 8 minute droughts when you can't get a bucket. When you have a "Go To" Superstar (s), it obviously makes the offense flow a lot easier. It forces teams into double teams, and opens up looks for 2nd, 3rd, 4th option guys. It really doesn't matter if you run the triangle, a motion offense, or even the simple sets that we run. If you put Shaq and Kobe (2000-2003 Circa) in place of Roy and Oden in our offense today, they win a title. That's what I think.

it seemed that they were going through some growing pains at the beginning of the season on offense integrating Greg. They hadn't had a real low post threat establishing deep position in the paint prior and they seemed uncomfortable in their new roles. Obviously Greg was very good on both ends of the floor, but collectively they weren't really clicking. This probably would have been worked out as the season went along.

If this roster had remained healthy, I think they could have really won in the playoffs this year. As it is, things will have to improve health wise just for the team to make it there

It's all about which teams Stern wants where.

Truly, little else matters in the playoffs.
