There's probably some variation of "The Silencer" which would be good, but I like 37. Of course, I also like calling it "42", to fish story that thing
Bye-Bye, 37, and Bad are all good options. - I’m not totally on board with Bad, because most people won’t get it, and assume the basic meaning of bad. - I’m not totally on board with 37 because, well, he’s made a bunch of 37 footers. My vote goes for The Bye-Bye shot. It’s unique to that particular shot, and says so much about what that shot meant. Bye-Bye OKC. Next!
Shall I add a poll? The Wave Bye-bye 37 The "Bad" Shot "Next!" (or Next Question) The Pacifier OKC-ya! Anything else?
Names based on current memes, like Russell Westbrook's "next question" aren't going to hold up well over time, IMO. I think "The Bad Shot," as much sense as it makes right now, probably falls into the same category. My only name contribution would be The Long Goodbye. It's already an existing phrase, but it fits this really well--it was a super-long shot and he literally waved goodbye after it.
I was thinking that after someone else posted "the deep goodbye". I like "long goodbye" better. Apparently some in the twittersphere are also proposing 2.0, since it was his second series winner, and since he went into his stepback right about at 2.0 on the clock. But I think that's just too close to 0.9, whereas 37, while similarly numeric, has a different focus.
