Neil's just gonna say how adding CJ and Nurk is like making a big deadline deal and not do anything.

Then you wouldn't be to upset if he traded Dame because someone offered him a mega deal?
Outside of CJ & Dame we just wouldn't be able to rock the world with a trade for equal value coming back.

Idk but by trading multiple firsts Olshey went all in. Can’t half ass it now. If Simons can land you an immediate rotation player you gotta do it. Hood pretty much has to be traded for something as well, especially since Nas needs minutes. His contract should be attractive to any team trying to get off some long term money.

 

How much did the Mrs HCP offer you to post that?

 

I bet we don’t have Nurk back by the deadline. But other than that it’s spot on.

 

I'd probably see about trading Rodney Hood for Patty Mills...

 

I don't think Cousins, Tucker or LMA make us appreciably better. I like the Cleveland Indian philosophy of only adding guys who can help this year and years ahead. I do think that Trent has to go while he has some value. Not sure if Anf has any value. Hood can be used as salary filler and we won't miss him.

 

Where's the fire Stotts option

Getting Rondo would be really good. Maybe John Collins too. Rondo is the closest thing to cancelling out Stotts when he's on the floor.

 

i can't stand Rondo, but that's a great reason to get him.

funny tho, dame in his pre-season media interview repeated how we didn't need a guy like Rondo (who would warrant substantial mins) as a backup PG because we have Ant and CJ.

 

this is the same guy that said he wishes he still had pavlovic. He’s just loyal, its pointless even asking.

 

I love Dame but he's delusional if he thinks Ant and Rondo are equivalent. Rondo is one of the best basketball minds still playing right now and would make our second (and first) unit look much better.

 

I don't want a lot of moves. Just a three team deal that sends CJ to the Knicks, Nurk and Randle to the Wolves and KAT to us. Then Hoodie, Ant and RoCo to the Magic for Gordon and MCW.

Then we can just take shots on some GLeague all-stars and/or get some guys on the buyout market with our extra roster spots.

Dame, Gary, DJ, Gordon, KAT, Melo, MCW, Enes and Nas seems like a pretty nice nine man rotation.

What will happen is that Olshey will probably do nothing and say that we're a contender because CJ and Nurk will either be back by or soon after the deadline. Hopefully Olshey will be right and we'll make a run at the title that at least gets us a couple wins in the WCF or he's wrong and he's fired.

 

We should trade all our players 'cause their values are eventually going to go down. (heavy sarcasm for those who want to break up the team)

 

I was trying to be sarcastic but it doesn't work to well, never have been good at it. Neil gets a lot of criticism because he never swings for the fences, well I was implying if he was offered a treasure chest for Dame he might take it? Dame is really the only piece he has to go after a super star quality block buster, CJ and some may get you a potential star or one that doesn't shine to bright.

 

It doesn't matter if we trade anybody or not. Until we replaced the coach and his systems that's offense and defense it will stay the same but different players.

 

We know no trades will happen. Stotts needs to be fired. That will not happen. I want nurkic traded. He injured again his calf while nursing his hand it’s ridiculous. Also hood and zach need to be traded.
