warriors and nets are the two outsider teams 4 next year but i would think the title will go to miami or san antonio
I think the Heat could come out on top in the following season, but you cannot forget the Spurs. If the heat start playing better together and they put Dooling as the starting point guard or get a new point guard who can strongly contribute to the teams offensive and defensive strategies then they could very possibly be the champions.
Man screw the Spurs. They got lucky this year. If Detroit had a lil more bench players like lets say a Corliss Williamson off the bench the San Antonio Spurs would have lost that series in 6. That whole bench production thing got to the Pistons but they proved they wasnt playing around last season and they still should be a team to be reckoned with for next season as long as they got that dynamic starting 5. As for Miami, they had their chance and Dwyane Wade got injured at the wrong time. They will be back up their but whos gonna replace Damon Jones? Damon Jones really made things easy for Miami since he was such a great 3 point shooter. I wouldnt wanna see Wade at PG.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting GiantMidget:</div><div class="quote_post">Kurt Thomas is 6'9.Still a small team.</div> Our Center (Amare) is 6'10, so is your 5 (Miller). In todays NBA the only dominant large center is Shaq and he plays in the East.
San Antonio, Miami, and Detroit. Those are really the only three contenders if you ask me. Pheonix, Indiana, and Seattle are the only others that I could see possibly slipping into the finals and winning it all. But if you made me pick one, I'd have to pick the Spurs. When you have arguably the greatest power forward of all-time during his prime, in Tim Duncan, a rising young star at the point, in Tony Parker, and an All-star who's still getting better (even at the ripe old of 28), in Manu Ginobili, it's hard to even cosider anybody else. And don't forget about their great supporting cast which includes sharpshooter Brent "Bones" Barry, shutdown defender Bruce Bowen, and Big shot Rob. Not only are the Spurs set to be title contenders for next year, but their set to be contenders for the next five years.
well, i was saying detriot, but with brown leaving, i dont see them even getting to the finals. why? because i think miami will win it all.
If the Suns get a deeper bench and their D gets better, they will probably ease by the Dallas Mavericks in 5. I say The Miami Heat grit it out with Indiana in 7 in (I hate saying this) a classic series. If the Suns do have that bench (They don't even need more benchers, their bench just needs to grow. Mostly, they need to not suck without Nash, which Leandro Barbosa will help them do, because he is growing up. If they get a defensive boost, whether it be with a new player (FA or Rook) or the team starts playing D, they Still lose to Miami in Six. If not. The suns will fall at the hands of the Mavs in the second round and the Mavs will loose to Miami in 5 in the finals. Other notables Indiana will make it to the ECF's after beating the Pistons in 6 (LB or no LB) Philly will get the Five seed and beat the Celts to go to the second round, where they lose to Miami in Six The Milwaukee Bucks will get the 8th seed, only to get swept by the Heat. The 3rd seeded Detroit Pistons will beat the New Jersey Nets in a six game Lamefest. Seedings (I'm not predicting season W's and L's): Fst Rd. Miami Sweeps Bucks Philly Def Boston in six Indy Def Cavs in five Detroit Def New jersey in Six Conf Semi Miami absolutely spanks Philly in 4 (I put some new holes in my wall) Indy beats Detroit in Six (Do I even have to say it'll be awesome, every series Indiana plays is awesome) Conf Finals Miami def Indiana in 7 (Anger inducing but very great classic series) Finals Miami Beats Phoenix in 6 1. Miami 2. Indy 3. Detroit 4. Boston 5. Philly 6. Jersey 7. Cavs (Very dissapointing season, Redd or no Redd) 8. Bucks West: Warriors finally make the playoffs (Chill bay Area, it's just a 7) The Lakers get the 6th seed, woopie The Wolves get back in the playoffs to an 8th seed The Suns get tricky, if they improve in the right ways, they get the 1 seed, if they don't they get the third seed (i'll assume they improve, but not enough to beat Miami) T-Maculous finally gets out of the first round with the help of Luther Head. Seeds: 1. Suns 2. Spurs 3. Mavs 4. Sonics 5. Rockets 6. Lakers 7. Warriors 8. Wolves 1st rd. Suns Def Wolves in 5 Rockets Def sonics in 6 Spurs Sweep Warriors ( Two games are very close) Mavs def Lakers in 6 (Phil goes out with a bang) Conf Semi's Suns Kill Rockets in a sweep Mavs Shock spurs in six Conf Finals Suns beat Mavs in five Finals Heat Def Suns in 6 I like seeing these at the end of the year, and seeing what an idiot i am. But last year i said Phoenix would go to the WCF and everyone called me stupid. But, then again, I picked them to win it all and they didn't.
^Worst prediction in the whole thread.Mainly dealing with the western conference.First off,you have the Suns and Mavs in the WCF.Where are the Spurs? How can they not be given any credit.Secondly, you have the Mavericks needing 6 games to beat the Lakers.Thats a sweep.Lastly,You have the Lakers in the playoffs as well as the Wolves with the Sonics remaining a top seed.Where are the Kings? Are you trying to say that after not making the playoffs that the Wolves,Lakers, and Warriors are now better than the Kings?Thats a joke. *EDIT* I also just realized you have the Spurs and Mavericks in the top 3 in the west.Thats an impossibility because theyre in the same division. You also left out Denver, who had the best record in the second half of last season.Denver is probably favored to be seeded in the top 3. My prediction is that only the Spurs,Pistons,Pacers and maybe the Heat have a chance to win it next year. The Spurs are the favorite.
Well now that Detroit loses Brown I think this opens the door for what def said a classic between Iny and the Heat. As much as I love the Heat they can lose that series because Indiana is a great team. I find Miami to be so motivated, and with this offseason SVG and Riley saga I think SVG will be motivated to coach this team the right way and deliver what Riley couldn't to Miami. I see Miami playing either SA or my slepper pick the Rockets. Phoenix is also a legit team in the West but they still haven't re-signed JJ so that is what their title hopes hinge on wether or not they re-sign Joe. Miami beats Phoenix in 5-6 because Phoenix will have no answer for Wade and and Shaq will use his size to his advantage against an undersized Suns frontcourt in Thomas and Amare although Amare will have 2 30 point games in the series.
dam its early for this well since we can throw up wild predictions New Orleans vs. Atlanta New Orleans in 6 MVP-J.R Smith....averaging 29.2 points 7.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists
Barring a serious injury to Duncan, Ginobli, Parker or Horry the Spurs should repeat. Detroit will compete and so will Miami in the East. Phoenix and Dallas and Houston will all seem unbeatable at times. But I have to pick the Spurs.

Hold on just to let everyone know the 76ers will win the the championship Quote: Allen said he will do everything in his right mind now that Maurice Cheeks is here to get a ring so everyone watch out the 76ers are on a row

He is a quality rebounder, team defender, and has a nice outiside shot (to compliment our CENTER Amare Stoudemire). Also last time I checked being 6'9 and upwards of 240 lbs classifies as a big body.
