Anfernee Simons plays some of the worst defense I have ever seen in the NBA. If the Blazers didn't have gentlemen on their team, Ant would get yelled at by his teammates over neglecting defensive effort responsibilities.
Neither is good, and made worse when you combine either one with Dame. That has been a very large issue for most of a decade. Ant does look like he is 'trying' a little more. He certainly has the athletic ability. It is so much mind-set although instincts certainly help.
It's almost becoming like an All-Star game. It's demeaning offensive skills because so many people are having big scoring nights.
