What are the stats for Turner as a defender? I don’t really think of him as a good defender, more of an average one. So just curious.

I'm not a stat guy but he defends very well from my eye test....he also is strong enough to bother great players...Parsons couldn't defend anybody..Chief and Turner and sometimes Mo were a huge reason we were 8th in defense last season...

I think it is more the eye test. I do remember seeing him really get into offensive players making it tough on them. More so than any other guard we have.

Fair enough, just wondering. I remember him letting Giannis do the same thing over and over but that may not be all on him. I don’t think he’s bad at all, just curious.
Parsons is a pretty bad defender, he may fit the offense better though.

You sure you mean Turner or Aminu?

If Turner was on Giannis regularly, that's a coaching issue. Not Turners.

First game against the Bucks last year Turner was on Giannis a lot and got worked while Giannis took like 4 steps to the basket every time...

Im pretty sure Giannis is much bigger than Turner and would be a major mismatch. I call coaching foul on that one, not Turners D being weak, just outmatched size wise.

I mean, we have to be realistic with the matchups.

I looked at the box, and Aminu had a terrible game. Likely nobody was stopping Giannis and ET at least brought better offense. Likely coach thought ET could at least stay in front of GF, but he was unstoppable.

I'm with you on this one. Chandler would be a gamble, and could be a bust. But, we know what we have in ET and it isn't working. I would rather take a chance on Chandler than continue trying to find a way for ET to fit.

Do you think it's realistic that CJ would welcome Parsons to the team? That could be a barrier. Another reason to avoid social media.

    Lol. Over Turner?

I think that was so overblown.

One would hope so, but CJ zinged him pretty hard.

Dame's zinger with .9 left was even harder.
