I'd throw all our money at re-signing Greg Oden and pray for the best...

We can renounce claver and freeland; which frees an additional 2 mil and I have a feeling that we will trade Wes Matthews and Thomas or Babbitt on draft night to fee up a bit more.

What I would like to see is us trying to go after igs on draft night; even giving up our later pick, Babbitt, Matthews and Thomas for igs. Then we would have around 10 mil to offer dragic. Then resign hickson and Batum. Get Flynn for 2.5 mil and hopefully get Drummond if he slides down.

PG should be the priority over Batum and Hickson.

Go hard after Deron or Goran.

Find away to shed Wes, N.Smith.

Yeah that's a pretty good comp. Fuck it, I can live with a 20 year old Andre Miller ... assuming Marshall can get better at generating his own offense and can play even a modicum of defense. I don't know if Marshall will ever be in an all-star game, but he's got one elite skill that is damned difficult to find and I think he'd make LaMarcus' life easier and would probably make both Batum and Matthews better at their jobs.

Also of note, the one value to Shawne Williams is that he can be included in a trade to help match salaries--but only one that is agreed to before 7/1 but not actually consummated until after. I wonder if there's any way to get him to officially pick up his option for next year such that he could actually be traded before the end of this league year.

My only real worry about him is his athleticism. In the right offense, however, it might not matter

Of course he will, but until it's official, he's not tradeable until after July 1.

It would be great if he could file the papers like Dwight Howard did, so that we would have the option to include his salary in a draft day trade.

I would renounce Claver and Freeland. No guarantee that either are ever planning on coming over. I'd try to keep Hickson and Batum, and then draft a big and a guard. 14 million is enough to max out a 4 year vet. I'd throw a max deal at Gordon and front load that shit to make the league think twice before matching it.

    Marshall
    Gordon
    Batum
    Hickson
    Aldridge

    Young, athletic, and versatile.

Gordan has me scared. Love the player but his constant injuries on a max contract scares the shit out of me.

So, sign Hibbert, draft Marshall and Lamb, and call it good?

If we can get Drummond i'd be a happy camper. Him or Robinson are the two guys i'v really wanted (seeing as there is on chance in hell we get Davis).

Should I be surprised that you want to fantasize about the length of our rookies and jam something big and black into our space?

    No, no I should not.

Why'd they sign 40 year old Kurt Thomas to a 2 year deal? Hopefully he will retire, and we can use his money on Hickson.

And Matthews...last year he looked like a steal, this year he's looked more like a backup that should be making 1-2 mil. I hope he bounces back, but at this point, I'd much rather have the cap space than Matthews. I think the #1 target this year should be Williams, #2 should be Dragic....failing that, could we go with a lean roster this year save the cap space for later?
