He's making the same salary as CJ. Averaged 19 points per 36 last year at 56%. He's one of the best defensive players in the league while CJ is one of the worst. And whoever replaces CJ will be a better defender. Though if Nurk comes around, we should keep him.

It's still an overpay to give CJ and Nurk bro. Not sure why you're not seeing this one.

I don't need to argue something so ridiculous.

Dame has been a good defender this year, guarding PGs. You're saying CJ is better than good at guarding PGs??

CJ doesn't have the lateral quickness Dame does, but not only that, he falls asleep off the ball all the time, and is awful at closing out, which are awful traits while guarding SGs. He gives up dribble penetration all the time, which is an awful trait to have while guarding PGs.

CJ is equally as horrible guarding both positions.

Stats don't really back up what you're saying
    STATS:
    16-17 - Slashline: 48/42/91
    17-18 - Slashline: 45/52/84

    16-17 - Stats - 23.0ppg, 3.6reb, 3.6ast, 2.2tov, 1.64 ast:tov ratio
    17-18 - Stats - 22.1ppg, 4.9reb, 2.9ast, 1.6tov, 1.81 ast:tov ratio

    16-17 - DBPM: -2.3
    17-18 - DBPM: -1.2

So for every turnover he's getting more assists this year than last year. He's also shooting a great 3pt percentage. He's forced some mid-range shots and isn't really getting the space he did last year, but that's the only part of his offensive game that's really suffering. I realized my opinion (and likely yours) changed this season because of how silly/crucial some of his turnovers are, so they stand out more. That's just not the case. His defense (while still bad) seems to have slightly improved. If he starts hitting mid-range shots like he normally does, he'll be much improved over last year.

Because they can pay him the most and likely resign him, and Cousins is the type of big man you need to beat GSW, and he could help Lebron stay, and he's the best available star for that BKN pick (which I think they'll try to trade)

I get your thinking but I don’t think there’s a single GM in the league that makes that trade. You’re essentially trading two first round picks, one being in the top 5, for a couple sure months of Boogie and some unrealistic hopes and dreams. The rest of the trade was a cool idea though.

Looks like you're quoting overall fg% there, but when you break it down in that manner, you're supposed to show 2pt FG%. His 2pt percentage has fallen all the way down from 51% to 41%. And I don't think blocks even count against your field goal percentage.

It's really been shots inside 10 feet that have been bad for him. 39% at the rim, 30% 3-10 Considering last year he shot 59% and 49% from those ranges respectively, that's a 20% fall off.

And yes, his turnovers seem to come at the worst times of the game, which is a big deal, because that's a good way to lose games.

Yes. CJ has been better (than Dame) at guarding PGs all along. He's just not been guarding them when Dame is in the game.

I agree Dame's effort and play has improved at the defensive end. I like it.

What about an encyclopedia or the university curriculum or the Principia? So many topics, can't be serious.

I would trade @HCP for an internet controlled DVR.

We could take turns doing replays.
