Why ABM doesn't recognize this is a mystery to me, too. However, I've known ABM for quite a while now and I know that his motives are very good. ABM is a very good person, please do not doubt this. Therefor, make allowances for his little foibles. Lord knows, he makes plenty of allowances for my multi foibles.

Perhaps, so, but I'm simply citing a similar mantra early on. That said, Ebola wasn't nearly the same type of virus that COVID-19 is. From what I understand, you had to be in direct contact with someone who had contracted it and very sick to get it yourself.

I understand why many are up in arms about Trump's seemingly overoptimistic handling of the situation. I do. Just my opinion, but I think part of what he's tried to do is to prevent hysteria. It's a double-edged sword of caution and preparedness vs. life must go on the best we know how. The thing is, the entire world has never seen a pandemic like this in many, many decades. Every single world leader is facing the same, exact challenges. Trump is experiencing on-the-job training just like the rest of them. The entire situation sucks.

Many thought Germany was doing so well, now they're experiencing new issues..

Trump fucked up, period...there's certainly a lot of individuals who will have died needlessly because of Trump's actions/inactions.

There is no way to spin it/skew it/defend it otherwise.

Your're certainly entitled to your opinion. Meanwhile, others claim he's been doing all he can. There are alternative views on the situation/issue, as well.

    Again, you miss the point.

There's a huge difference in what he is NOW doing after the fact versus what he SHOULD have done much earlier.

No doubt. He was embroiled in impeachment proceedings, etc., but, yes, he and Congress, too, could/should have acted much sooner. There were just a few calls to action.

Again, this is a pandemic of its kind not seen in a century. Trump - and Trump, alone - will be blamed at every turn, though. So be it.

"What went wrong with US testing?"

    What about what Biden said?

    What about Obama?

classic old soviet tactic. Wanna throw Clinton in there, as well, for shits and giggles.

I guess if there’s a silver lining to the Covid 19/Trump response crisis it’s that Terry Stotts has moved down to #2 on your list of “worst things to happen to this country”...........you really DO hate Terry......

Failed leadership is what happened and its been happening for years. Terrible foresight with those tax cuts also, he could have been fixing health care, which would have helped prepare us for this pandemic, but instead he put us in more debt with tax cuts to make the financial part of this crisis significantly worse. This years deficit will be mind boggling.

I swear I've been bitching about our debt for years and I've been bitching about military spending for decades.

Tax cuts or hikes really don't do much when we waste trillions on killing brown people for oil.

I guess all the money we spent on drones makes it easier to kill people from bases like we have here in NV so that's good? ???

You might be the only one still bitching because most republicans are suspiciously quiet on the subject.

I guess you make a case that its better than invading Iraq and Afghanistan, but I dont like either option.

In 2018 we became a net exporter of oil for the first time in 75 years, yet drone strikes, tax breaks and record deficits are still the trend.

Impeachment proceedings?...no, there was way Trump was going to be removed from office...no matter how much McConnell, Trump, et al may make excuses and vainly lay blame elsewhere, the fact is that Trump fucked up, period... and will cause countless people to die needlessly...his inaction is criminal.

And the lengths you'll go to blindly defending this jackwagon of a POTUS no matter what, is mind-numbing.

The difference between the Republicans that don't bitch about it and the Democrats that do bitch about it boils down to just that..bitching publicly.

Then they vote yes to give the military billions more.

Then the retired generals are hired by defense contractors and they go on MSM and tell us how important it is to bomb this and destroy that cuz they bad.

    We're all suckers.

Funny enough this virus has got us all freaking out and saying how we are responsible for killing an American if we go to the beach. Well, we're responsible for decades of destruction in the Middle East and barely anyone ever pretended to care.

Oh right...in this case WE might die so it is important now.

Democrats are hypocrites and could do more I agree, but is that worse than publicly advocating for more of the military industrial complex and more wars? Military spending did actually decrease during the Obama years and the Clinton years. I dont think you can say it ever decreased under a republican president.

I guess you can give Trump credit for being the first republican president to not get us into an active war since Reagan, unless you count the war on drugs which I do which pushes things back even farther.

Since we are on the subject though, Trumps immigration policy is just an excuse to militarize our southern boarder. Take a look at some of the defense contracts that are being extend from overseas to domestically, this is a new thing.

I challenge you to just admit Trump fucked up. It's that easy. Eat some crow. Be a human being with some form of compassion. Don't make excuses. Don't point fingers elsewhere. No obvious attempts at redirection. Just admit it.

Sure, blame can be assessed to others, but most of it does lie with the commander in chief. Everything goes through him. He disbanded the pandrmic team. He called the virus a hoax or in the least never took it seriously. He has showed he cares more about his businesses and numbers than he does the people of his own country. He said if 100,000 people died in the United States from thr virus he would be ok. He fucked up. He more than fucked up. He has lacked any resemblence of leadership or sympathy for those effected.

Yet, you say any president would have fucked this up, so it's ok. It's unprecedented so no president could have been prepared. He could have had a pandemic team looking into this in December/January. He could have listened to the Dr's and the professionals who know what they are talking about it. He could have implemented his presidental powers months ago to up the production of medical supplies. Etc etc. There is so much he failed to do. He would rather refuse to help certain states because of spats with Governors. He doesn't care about the people dying. Admit he was wrong. Just admit it. Admit he fucked up. You know it's true.

Cuomo just described in his press conference how because of the way Trump has left things up to the states has caused a bidding war between the states to get the supplies they need. Every state is trying to outbid the other states to get what they need, and then Fema is now outbidding other states with no clear message of how the feds are going to distribute what they get so the states have to try and outbid the federal government.

N95 masks that were being sold for 40 cents each are now being sold for $4-7 each.

There should be only one buyer, the federal government, then the states purchase what they need from the feds.

The big states like NY and California can spend that kind of money but the smaller states are going to get fucked in this type of system.

I'm sure that's true. Never surprised by anything they do.

The war on drugs is a difficult thing.

I hate drugs and I hate freedom being taken away too. I don't really want to live in a world full of druggies.

I already see the negative of legalized pot in daily life. People could have been drinking and driving in traffic all these years but I couldn't smell it. I was sitting at a light yesterday during "shutdown" next to a car full of 20 year olds smoking.
