You realize that if you expect the worse it's not any better when it comes, right? You don't nod happily and say "yup, I was right!" if you thought your plane was going to go down and it does.
I do know English is not your first language. I was using a subtle sarcasm. I did not use green font. By the way you do very well on the conversations. I wish I was fluent in more languages.
Maybe just rest Dame for a season... Play the youngins and up everyone else's trade value while the GM thing is getting resolved.
I think portland can definitely take the best of 7 over Orlando, Houston, Detroit, the Pels, and OKC., maybe even take a series 4-1. It would take 7 games to beat SAS, Minnesota, Sacramento, and those teams fighting for a play-in spot. Any legit playoff team: no fucking way can Portland win a 7 game series.
For me it looks like there is something wrong with mentality of this team. Correct me please, but it seems that Nas is sole happy player out there. Under Stotts, there were three happy people (center). It was Dame, CJ and Melo. They were happy, cos they had free entry to all the carousels in the park. Under Stotts they could just play their games and now, suddenly, after almost a decade, they have to work. It must be really hard for Billlups to work with those spoiled kids. It seems like there is not exactly roster construction that is the biggest problem. I mean, they look like they are depressed old folks. And it is on them. I like my work and, of course, I like to do things my way, but I got results. Some players just want to play the game they like and it is ok when it translate to results. For almost ten years they play same selfish style and got same lame results. But they seem to prefer to stay there than work on it. It's kinda stress free upbringing. It leads nowhere. Our leaders are spoiled.
…and last night against the Queens, we saw the best of Nurkic. package Nurkic with CJ and let’s move ahead
While Sacramento seems to stink against everyone else, they sure have the Blazers #. Starting 1-11 on the road should disqualify you from the playoffs.
....but....but...but we are 9-1 at home. Let's just wait 20 games to see. Well, maybe let's wait 30 games to see. How about by the all-star break. Truth is, we have waited 6 years. Two smallish, hero-ball, poor defensive guards don't work well together....for the TEAM. End of story.
Which teams are we definitely better than...at home? Which teams are we definitely better than...on the road? Very different lists. The second list is the null set.
The solution is political. Blazers need to get their guys onto the schedule-making committee so that they can have all the games at home. barfo
Or get some gerrymandering experts involved in redrawing city lines creatively so that every game takes place in "Portland." Outside the box thought: Can we get an NBA franchise in Portland, Maine for the Blazers to play games against? Ideally, in division, so they play 2 "road" games in Portland (Maine).
Remember when the Spurs used to go on huge long road trips when the rodeo came to town? We just have to have rodeos visit every NBA city except Portland.
